Guest guest
Namaste friends, Lagna shows true self. Arudha lagna shows status and perceived self. It shows how a native exists in the maya of this universe. Sun symbolizes Purusha, the male energy of the universe, and he is the natural significator of lagna. As Sun shows Narayana, he has special affinity with trines, which are lorded by Lakshmi. So trines from Sun are important. Similarly, from lagna, trines are the most important houses. For true self, its abilities and dharma are the most vital aspects. Moon symbolizes Sri, the female energy of the universe, and he is the natural significator of arudha lagna. Vishnu shows lagna and his maya (Vishnu Maya or Leela) shows arudha lagna. As Moon shows Lakshmi, he has special affinity with quadrants, which are lorded by Narayana. So quadrants from Moon are important (e.g. Gaja-Kesari yoga). Similarly, from arudha lagna, quadrants are the most important houses. For perceived self, comforts, relations and karma are the most vital aspects. The bottomline of all this is that the strongest planet in a quadrant from arudha lagna decides how a person is perceived in this world. Examples: (1) Sri Rama had exalted Sun in Aries in arudha lagna. He is seen as a saattwik warrior. With Moon in Cancer arguably being the strongest planet in a quadrant from AL, he is seen as a compassionate and kind person (despite being a great warrior). (2) Mahatma Gandhi's AL has AK Moon in Cancer. He has a soft image as a compassionate, kind and non-violent person. (3) The strongest planet in a quadrant from Neil Armstrong's AL (Cp) is AK Rahu in fiery Aries. No wonder he is remembered as someone who opened a new frontier (revoluntionary Rahu in dynamic Aries!). (4) Strongest planet in a quadrant from Bill Clinton's AL is Sun in Leo. No wonder the former US President is seen as a charismatic leader (Sun). (5) SJVC's chart has AL in Gemini. Jupiter in Pisces is the only planet in a quadrant. He solely determines the image of SJVC. No wonder SJVC is/will be seen as a saattwik organization dedicated to tradition and the teachings of Sages. (6) India's human resources minister Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi's AL is in Sg and the strongest influences are of Mercury in Sg (dharmik intellectual) and Jupiter in Vi (intelligent and analytical traditionalist). (7) Strongest influences on Ramakrishna Paramahansa's AL (Ge) are that of Jupiter in Ge (intelligent and eloquent saint) and exalted Venus (a saattwik, determined and cheerful tapaswi). (8) Indian emperor Akbar's AL is in Cn and AK Venus in 4th is the strongest in a quadrant from AL. Being in lagna, Venus gives Malavya yoga and Akbar is seen as a man of refined taste who enjoys many pleasures. With a strong Saturn also joining Venus, Akbar is seen as an expert in dharma sastra. Dharmaraja (Yudhisthira) of Mahabharata must've had a much stronger Saturn in a quadrant from arudha lagna. (9) Late Indian actor-politician N.T. Rama Rao had AL in Cn and Moon won a graha yuddha in Libra. Moon in Libra being in a quadrant from AL meant he was mainly seen as a showman. (10) In late singer John Denver's chart, strongest planet in a quadrant from AL is Moon in Aquarius. He was seen as a somewhat philosophical and deep (Aq) entertainer (Moon). Look at the influences on the quadrants from arudha lagna in your own chart. Single out the most important one. Try to understand what it means, because it is what you will be remembered as. Another point: It is because the quadrants from arudha lagna are important and show how one is viewed by the world that Sage Parasara included the quadrants from arudha lagna along with own/exaltation/moolatrikona signs when defining vaiseshikamsas. Good night now! May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
Guest guest
Dear Narasimha , Namastae! Having said that quadrants from Arudha Lagna determine how one is perceived . How do we intrepret Rasi Drishti on Arudhra Lagna in these lines. Doesn't Rasi aspect of benefics/malefics also determine status etc ? thanks, Shriram vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R.
