Dear Drapaha Prabhu,

In case of Gulika occupying Badhaka, be especially

observant of this: If Mars, Saturn or Rahu associates

with Gulika or Ketu in Badhaka Sthana, then it can

produce Preta Badhak, where ones family is haunted by

the spirits of dead relatives.

So if someone comes and starts talking about their

life, and that 2-3 relatives have passed away and

their family life is going bad or any other area has

such effects, quickly see the Badhaka Sthana, for

these indications.

The remedial messure is either last funeral rites of

the dead person, or Pooja/Mantra of Ugra Devata. This

Ugra Devata seen from either of Mars, Saturn or Rahu

that afflicts Gulika/Ketu.

Gulika/Ketu indicates Spirits, whilst the 3 malefics;

Mars, Saturn and Rahu indicate the way the former

being died.

Best wishes, Visti.

Badhaka

Dear Gauranga Prabhu,

Hare Krishna,

I have one question. I have followed a discussion on badhaka on the Vedic

Astrology list. There is one question in my mind.

Some times ago I was reading one article in which was cited Jataka Parijata

(Adhyaya II, sloka 48). There is stated that Badhaka for certain lagna (or

badhaka for every house) is badhaka only if he is also lord of the house which

is occupied by Mandi (Gulika) or Kharesa (this is lord of the 22nd drekana from

lagna, or house cusp for the house for which we are calculating badhaka).

Do you use this principle for determining Badhaka. I did not see anyone

mentioned this on the discussion on the list.

In my example; for Aquarius lagna Venus is badhaka, Mandi is in Aquarius (lagna)

and 22nd drekana is Taurus (lord is Venus which is in Gemini). So Venus is not

badhaka because he (or she) is not lord of Aquarius nor Gemini. In the same

time Venus is Yogakaraka planet.

According to my knowledge, the Badhaka or obstructing effect always functions,

but if the Badhakesa is also lord of the baove mentioned evil houses, he

becomes even more a troublemaker. So if Venus is a Yogakaraka, she will give

Rajayoga, but as Badhaka to the Lagna at the same time she may give some

physical inconvenience. I would be interested for example in the chart of

Stephen Hawking, if anyone on the list knows his birth data. Maybe he would

serve as a good example for this.
