Chamatkar Chintamani in Hindi which quotes a verse and in this verse also is

mentioned that Bhishma had Jupiter was in the 2nd house and it caused him to be

deprived of the throne. But ascendant is not mentioned.

The whole verse translation runs like this:-

Jupiter in ascendant caused Ram to be exiled to forest,

Bali went to nether world for his placement in 3rd house,

4th house Jupiter caused Harishchandra to undergo scrutiny of his Dharma,

6th House Jupiter caused Draupadi humiliating act of disrobing,

8th house Jupiter caused Ravan his destruction,

10th house Jupiter caused Duryodhan loss of life,

12th house Jupiter caused King Pandu to go to forest to live and die there,

2nd house Jupiter caused Pitamah to be deprived of the throne,

5th house Jupiter caused Dasarath separation from his son Ram,

7th house Jupiter caused Ajraja to loose his wife,

9th house Jupiter caused Vishwamitra to eat what was not eatable,

11th house Jupiter caused King Nal exile to forest, loss of kingdom, separation

from wife Damyanti, snakebite.

All this happens when Jupiter is in malefic sign or afflicted.

Such verses give hints of planetary formation in such lost historical horoscopes.

That is the reason for me to seek your help.

Dear Mr. Rao,

Jupiter is still Jupiter, so don't be overly concerned when he rules an

angle. 2 out of 3 hamsa yogas are formed when Jupiter is an angle lord, and if

he is not an angle lord he will rule a dusthana, the 12th in the case of Aries

and Capricorn lagna, the 6th in the case of Libra and Cancer lagna. So it is

the fact that Jupiter is Jupiter that is important for Hamsa Yoga. SO the

results is just the same, the difference is that Hamsa yoga in the 7th

increases the sexual desire compared to other hamsa yogas. And since Jupiter is

weak in the 7th, all other factors equal, it will be a lesser yoga. Hamsa Yoga

afflicted by Rahu will not be as fortunate, will not offer as much protection,

and will get better later in life.

Which means jupiter is in 8th,11th,2nd ,or 5th.Hence NO. Jupiter should be in a

kendra from Lagna exalted or in own sign to form this yoga. Hope this helps.

Dear Mr.Wilhelm,thank you for the information.But a small doubt.Now as I said

before Jupiter is in 7th house in Pisces sign at 26deg.18min.and Rahu there is

at 15deg.9min.That means if we follow degreewiseRahu has crossed Jupiter and is

away from him as Rahu is retrograde towards Aquarius.So Jupiter's affliction

will not reduce ?Will he not give better results ? Because Rahu is debilitated

in Navamsha in Vrischika Rasi.
