Guest guest
Dear Nandan and visti.....Thanks for the many patient replies. I am a beginner in astrology and I don't have any astrological books with me. I am just learning from articles being posted by astrologers like you. thanks again Aru > > Dear Aru: > There are various opinions about all this. Let me clearly summarise only the teachings of Shri Rath in this regard, once & for all, & inlcude the questions u asked also: > 1. Plntry Asps (graha drishti= aspg plnt transmits its desires), eg if St asps X, it breathes longevity (its desire as per its natural signification) to X, vs if St occupies X, as a natural malefic, it MAY decrease longevity instead (except its own karaka house, ie 8th house, etc). > 2. All asp 7 (except headless Ke has no asps; as moksh karak, has no desires). Nobody asps 6/11 (as punishment/ liberation places, which no plnt except Ke desires) & on 2/12 (except by Ra on its 12 in reverse as retro, ie zodiacally on its 2nd, as a special aspect). > 3. Ignore the retrogradeness of planets, & dont use nodes' rules for retro planets, as nodes are ALWAYS retro, & the reasons for their lack of, or special aspects, are as covered here, & NOT due to their retroness alone. To summarise, Ke has NO asps. Ra asps 5/9/2 from it zodiacally. > 4. Outers: (Ma/Jp/St/Ra) are on elevation hr than earth's, wrt Sn: so, have spl sight/ full-asps, which are more pwrful than 7. Mnemonic: ¾ - Ma - 4/8 (I havent clearly understood the reason for this), ½ - Jp/Ra-5/9 (Jp/ Ra= good/ evils of past lyf 5/9 houses, respectively, as Ra= Jp's enemy), ¼ - St -3/10 (Upachaya, as St wants longevity, except 6/11 as discussed above= resources depleted in fulfilling personal desires/ weakneses): ie these plnts have full asps on these houses & all other plnts have corresponding partial asps on these houses. > 5. General: a) Asps on own ruled house are benefic. b) 7 also= opposition/ development aspect. c) Check natural friendship/ enmity of planet wrt aspected house also. d) para 4 above is supposed to give a clue also, on the nature of the aspect, ie St 10th aspg X is not the same as Jp 5th aspg X is not the same as Jp 9th aspg it. There is some funda about this, which in time, I will fathom, as I start looking at enuff charts > Bestest wishes > Nandan > aru_dulla <aru_dulla> wrote: Dear Asham...thank you for the answer.
