Dear Rockmint! (Can't be a name?)

never heard of Stellium. The dictionary also does not have this word. Is it

stelliform or stellular? If so, we do have Nakshatra dispositors and a

detailed system of 27 physical and 28 metaphysical nakshatra.

With best wishes

I think Stellium is a term used in western astrology for what we call

in Jyotish "graha koota". I think the question was about the graha

koota in Taurus in the middle of May.

As for my take on it, I am more concerned by Saturn-Rahu exact

conjunction within 1 deg from Sun around June 5-10. I am more

concerned about *that* period than mid-May. Unfortunately, Taurus is

India's national lagna.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha

Namaste All,

The word 'Stellium' is used in western astrology to identify 3 or more

planets in one sign.

Dear Phyl

Thanks - Graha Yoga's. Well, what does the western astrology talk about this?

Are the star groups the same? I think i remember eading about lunar mansions.

Are these from Arabia or is it peculiar to western astrology. What will be the

degree of the conjunction (i.e. allowed separation between planets)..Any

reference or direction or link to read more please.

Dear

Sanjay................................................................

Thanks for the reply. The word 'stellium' is mostly referred to in

western astrology. I didn't come across this term in jyotish so far.

I'll definitely look up in saravali as you said. By the way, I

haven't sent you any question on love and marriage. Maybe, you

mistook me for someone else. The only question I posed after a long

time was about saadhe sati or elnaati sani in telugu. I was wondering

if the second cycle of saadhe sati is more harmful than the first and

if it equally hurts people with taurus and libra lagnas as it does to

everyone else.

Dear Sanjay,

The idea of stelliums in western astrology is not something with a lot of

research behind it, rather it simply is an 'isness' if I can make up a word.

In western astrology a planet activates a sign therefore the more planets,

the more important the activities associated with the specific sign and

house.

As for the Pars of Fortune which is what the Arabic points are called there

is considerable contraversy associated with them. On the one hand (I can not

quote my source off the top of my head) they are recognized as being

incomplete. On the other hand there are books which have expanded on the

Pars based on intuitive knowledge. Some books have gone as far as to give

specfic meaning to each degree of the Tropical Zodiac.

Dane Rudhyar in his book An Astrological Mandal (Vintage Books, Random

House, 1973) writes about the Sabian symbols. I tell you this becuase on

more than one occasion I have read articles where these two factors were

confused. Rudhyar also give formula for finding the Pars but I can't lay my

hands on it right now.

I'm off to give a workshop on using Vedic Astrology and am running late. I

hope this helps.

By the way, I got my copy of the JD and it is FANTASTIC (no bias here!). I

am taking it to Vancouver in mid May where I am giving more lectures and

another workshop on Vedic Astrology, this time to western astrologer. This

is always fun. Have faith in me, the three part series is coming. Also I am

getting very positive feed-back re: my article on Female Horoscopy.

Unfortunately all the feed back is from women.

Blessing to you for all you have given us and I look forward to meeting you

in August.

Phyllis

Om Gurave Namah

------------------------

Dear Aru

Saturn does not hurt really, in the long run, he actually heals as it is the

opportunity to undo past Karma. Look at the life of Rama. Had Saturn dasa not

come, How would the world have benefitted from the rare Satyanarayana Vesha that

He took up in the jungles? Even today we think of Rama in this form and

Hanumanji in the Rudra form.

For libra & Taurus Lagna, saturn behaves like the Moon & Sun respectively and is

not very bad but not too good either.

Best Regards,

Sanjay Rath

Dear Sanjay.................................Thanks a million for the

kind reply. I have one more question for you. Why does saturn behave

like moon and sun for libra and taurus lagnas? Is there an

explanation for this?

Ohm Sri Lakshme Hayavadana Parabrahmane Namaha !

Dear Sanjayji,

Namaskar !

iam little bit confused after reading your below

reply.Since saturn is enemy to sun ,how saturn can

give the results of sun for Taurus lagna native. Please

explain this.( i request all other guruji's also)

iam a Taurus lagna native,Where saturn and sun

are combined in 3rd house cancer.Saturn is Combust and

won the planetory war.Till reading your below

reply, regarding combustion i understood that ,Sun will

give the results of the combust planets afer an

initial strrugle. But iam confused now. Please make me

clear.

My AL and A5 is in Cancer, and both saturn(AK) and

sun(Amk) is in that.Really i started chanting

Vishnu/Siva mantras ,slogas from Saturn Anthar dasa of

Mars Dasa.

But i was physically affected a lot during that time.

(Mars Dasa/Sat AntharDasa). My Ista Devata is Sri

Lakshmi Hayagriva.

Please see my attached horoscope in jhd format for

more information.(it is a typical Kala Sarpa Yoga

Horoscope)

Thanks in advance !

Kindly,

Krithi Hayagriva
