tithi vs solar year

Learned members,

I have been trying to resolve the differences that dasa results have

with gochara results at a given time. I am wondering if the

differences are indeed due to the fact that solar year is used to

calculate dasa as against tithi year which is shorter. The difference

would then be offset by 1 year by age 35 of a native. Am I on the

right track?

Any inputs, welcome.
