Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya

Namaste Listmembers,

This can be a wide discussion, and my input is

probably tangential, but I would like to offer what little experience I have on

the matter of suicide.

I read somewhere that connections between the 3rd and 8th (life) houses can

indicate the taking of ones life at ones own hands.

Working in the area of acute crisis intervention with people who have

attempted suicide, I have found that during recovery some victims often

'realise' they do not want to end their life, they just want the pain to stop.

The agony is so intense and prolonged they become deranged. This is a very

important point.

With terminally ill patients 'pain management' often becomes impossible.

Cause of death is usually respiratory failure due to their weakened state and

prolonged narcotic use. Pain levels can be so unbelievably cruel that death is

desired/welcomed.

When conventional healing methods, including Western, Ayurvedic, Spiritual

healings in all their many forms etc, are redundant to an individual case, what

right do we have to impose suffering by denying their choice?. It is callous and

possibly the worst kind of hubris not to pray "Be at peace and may God have

mercy on your soul". What do we know of their contract with God??.

Thank you for the charts and your explanation of soul impulse Visti.

Fortunately I have a dearth of experience with mass murders. I can only

imagine the first possibility of a disconnection between the act and the

outcome, where death, and therefore life, is not fully understood or secondly,

the life situation is experienced as unchangeable and intolerable. Acting on

the impulse to annihilate others through hatred is inconceivable to me lest it

is compartmentalized as pure evil or insanity.

Krishna ordained the evil lives of Hiranyaksa and his brother to appease the

slighted Brahmins. The brothers were cleansed and finally rewarded by death.

To be sure, if they were Irish they would have recognised the 'little people' :)

Om Shanti,

Ann.

Vyam Vysadevaya Namah

------------

Dear Evie and Jay,

Natural Paka Lagna is Jupiter. If Jupiter associates with 3rd or 8th from Arudha

Lagna, the person may take their own life, or be the actual cause of their

death.. sometimes this can be through Samadhi, not eating, etc.. This also

makes them aware of their own death.

Best wishes, Visti.
