June transits - Saturn Rahu conjunction

We have a conjunction of Rahu Saturn this month.

 

The previous conjunction of Saturn and Rahu in transit happened at the start of

the gulf war. I was interested to search out the ones before that. And found

the following list:

 

....... And the previous conjunction of saturn and rahu (1979) saw the Soviet

invasion of Afghanistan, the overthrow of the Shah in Iran and the hostage

crisis. Also the Three Mile Island nuclear accident.....

 

.... And before that, in 1968 you have the Soviet invasion of Chekoslovakia,

student riots in Paris etc, the assasination of Martin Luther King and Bobby

Kennedy. Also the Tet Offensive.

 

..... And before that in 1956, the Suez canal crisis and the attack on Egypt, and

the Soviet invasion of Hungary.

 

.... And before that in 1945, the first atom bomb, defeat of Germany, death of Hitler, etc.

 

.... And before that in 1934 the murder of the Austrian chancellor with Hitler

coming to power as 'Fuhrer'. Night of the long knives in Germany.

 

.... ANd before that in 1922, fascists march on Rome and Mussolini becomes the

leader of Italy. USSR is declared.

 

 

These all seem to be major world events that we all remember rather than local

conflicts. I didn't expect these results when I set out to explore this.
