Help requested by a newbie!

Hello all,

 

This is my first message to the group. I am an Indian Software

Engineer working in the US. Right from my childhoood I have always

been fascinated with Vedic Astrology. I always loved to listen to

Jyotish predicting anything he can about my life. Until recently, I

used to rely on others to predict for me and my loved ones. But then

I realized that Vedic Astrology is a well-defined discipline (not so

obscurred and random, in other words), then why not learn myself? And

that is how I began my journey into this quite complex space.

 

Now coming to the question I have. I have got Vimshottari dashas of

my husband (Venus mahadasha) for the next few months. Now I want to

*really* understand how do I predict for him based on these dashas?

What I am looking for is some kind of process or methodology,

outlining steps I should be following for predicting based on

Vimshottari. Can anyone help me by suggesting the steps I need to

follow?

 

P.s.: I am aware of astrology basics such as ascendent (janma lagna),

Rasi, retrogade. However, I am still confused as to how to find

whether a planet is uccha or neecha? Any help would be greatly

appreciated.
