Guest guest
Dear Visti, Hare Rama Krsna. >To make postulations about the acuracy of sunrise/sunset timings, using >the Vighati is far fetched. I don't know anyone who would with a clear >mind state that their birthtime was acurate within 24 seconds, unless it >was rectified. Well, this time of Nandan's daughter was taken accurately by the doctors in the hospital. Why every birthtime would have to be rectified all the time? Anyway, if you like to, I can give you many life events for my chart and you can see into rectification. I get Jupiter as a janma vighati graha. >Keep in mind that this is only used for very finer methods of >rectification, and by doing this we are finding the Ardha-Nadiamsa >position, which determines the sex. Can you tell me more about this Ardha-Nadiamsa? >As for Shastiamsa technique, you might have been referring to an old note >on Vighati Lagna in Shastiamsa. However i've been having doubts as to, >whether this same Vighati Lagna determines sex or not, etc. But i don't >know what shastiamsa regression technique you are thinking of. Yes, it may have been vighati lagna. I thought it was by regressing the vighati lagna one sign in sastiamsa that you would find the lagna in this life? I had asked Pt Sanjay Rath also about this one time, and he confirmed it was janma vighati graha, however I have Mercury there or Ketu on the other side, and both of them determine a female, so I'm confused now. Maybe Sanjay can help us further? >Meditate on this: >Why is; >a) Pranapada & Janma Vighati Lagna, calculated from Sunrise time only? >b) Jamna Vighati Graha calculated from either Sunrise or Sunset time? >(Think Horas). Hmmm, the day is divided into 60 ghatis of 12", vighatis are half of that, 6", so for janma vighati graha we take half of a day (sunrise-sunset or vice-versa) and calculate 2.5 x 60 whereas for the lagna it's 5 x 60 vighatis. I cannot figure out the connection with Horas now. Please help me. Your sishya, Dhira Krsna dasa
Guest guest
Vyam Vysadevaya Namah ------------- Dear Krsna, Can you tell me more about this Ardha-Nadiamsa? Visti: PVR Rayudu, has done some work on this; http://www.loudoun-net.com/kamesh/Rayudu.html Yes, it may have been vighati lagna. I thought it was by regressing the vighati lagna one sign in sastiamsa that you would find the lagna in this life? I had asked Pt Sanjay Rath also about this one time, and heconfirmed it was janma vighati graha, however I have Mercury there or Ketu on the other side, and both of them determine a female, so I'm confused now. Maybe Sanjay can help us further? Visti: Do you mean to say that the Vighati Lagna in Shastiamsa would show the Rasi-Lagna in this life? So that means that there are only 5 (60/12=5) valid Vighati Lagna-Shastiamsas out of 60, that will actually show the birth of any entity? A friend of mine came with a funny comment; He said that the 5th house in his Dwadasamsa shows the children of parents, and hence would show his Rasi-Lagna, i would match this comment to the above one. For now, i would say lets wait with understanding the Janma Vighati Lagna. But to see the sex of your past life, maybe you can use the Janma Vighati Graha's position in Shashtiamsa.. dunno whether it ill be acurate thou, rather we wait until we study Adhana Chakras. Visti: I should have said the Horas that constitute the Hora-amsa division. i.e. Sun and Moon. The Pranapada calculation doesn't descriminate between male or female births, thats why we only take the Istha from sunrise. This Pranapada is used to find out which type of being has come into birth.. i.e. is it a bird? Human? Animal? Sarvath Chintamani talks about which type of combinations are there for other beings. The Janma Vighati Graha, however is dependant on the time being either after; Sunrise or Sunset. This is because the day is strong for males and the night is strong for females. This doesn't mean that all children born in the daytime are male, but this descrimination is symbolic for finding the difference between either. Now the Vighati Lagna is pretty straight forward in calculations. I wonder what it shows thou.. Your sishya,Dhira Krsna dasa I hope this helps. Best wishes, Visti. p.s. i would love to rectify your chart one-day, please give some information about your parents and their lineage, the rest i know.
