Dear Rajeev,

You must divide by 9 and take the remainder.

Or just remove multiples of 9 until you get a value less or equal to 9.

Best wishes, Visti.

[vedic astrology] some clarification requested

Sri Sanjay Rathji,

Namaskars,

I read your article Principles of Creation-2 and found it very interesting. I have a small question.

In the chart calculations for Janam Vighati after dividing by 9 , if the

remainder comes out to 4.005 then do you consider it the 4th or the 5th planet.

You have indicated that even a value less than 0.5 is supposed to be considered

but this is 0.005.

Please help in clarifying this.

Dear Vistiji,

Thank you so much. You are always very helpful.

But there is one thing.You see after dividing by 9 if you are left with a

remainder of 4.005. Then do you convert this to 5 or take it as 4 (Ref :

"convert remainder into next higher integer).Normally if it was 4.2 or so you

can take the figure as 5 but for 4.005 , we have just crossed 4. Please advise.

Dear Rajeev,

Example;

Say i was born 480 Vighatis after Sunrise.

There are two ways of doing so, to get the same result;

a) Divide the 480 by 9 and find the remainder.

i.e. 480/9=53,33.. => 0,33x9= 3. Hence the remainder is 3.

b) Merely remove multiples of 9 from 480.

480%9=3

Best wishes, Visti.
