Guest guest
Dear Hayagriva, Remember that there is a big man behind every ayanamsa. So you'll hear different answers to your question from different people. However, a majority of Vedic astrologers today use Chitrapaksha ayanamsa, also known as Lahiri ayanamsa. SJVC gurus also use it to the best of my knowledge. I personally use a slightly different ayanamsa, but it is very close to Lahiri. I think focussed research in the coming decade or two will help us finetune the ayanamsa, but it's most likely very close to Lahiri. Guest guest
Dear Krithi, Namaste. >Thanks for your valuable reply. Please provide me >the ayanamsa value which u are using. How much it has >deviation from lahari ayanamsa ? .Please provide me >this information. I personally have done quite some research in ayanamsa question, testing practically every known ayanamsa and in between. Finally I have concluded that it will be close to Lahiri anyway, and indeed, I now use a value which is in between 3 to 4 arc minutes less than Lahiri. BV Raman's yearly change of 50 1/3 sec. per year is the most accurate, so I set up my program in a difference from Raman's ayanamsa (which is easy to do with Parasara's Light software). I just noticed something wonderful yesterday in my ayanamsa research. Take the date of 28 May 2000 at 16h05 time zone 0 and coordinates 0 and 0, on the equator, you'll see the exact conjunction of Jup-Sat, with the Sun at 13°48'27" in Taurus, ayanamsa value at the moment is 23°48'27". Coincidence, or not? Maybe the learned gurus on the list could comment? Your sishya, Dhira Krsna dasa
