Planet Colors - A Doubt : To Sanjayji

Dear Guruji,

 

It is very kind of you to take time out of your busy

schedule and answer some of our queries

 

There has been a confusion in my mind for a long time

now. For which i have been doing some research but the

confusion seems to increase even more.

 

In vedic astrology diff planets have been assigned

diff colors.

 

For example:

 

Planet Color Stone Reflects

....... ..... ..... .......

 

Jupiter Yellow Yellow Sph. Blue

Moon White Pearl Orange

 

Thus we consider all yellow objects to be under

influence of jupiter and white under moon.

 

But Yellow Sapphire reflects actually blue color on

our body when worn and pearl reflects orange.

 

My question is how do we justify this if yellow

sapphire reflects blue then it shud strengthen the

planet represented by blue isnt it?

 

Also there is a relation between diff chakras and

planets, is it based upon colors represented by both

or how exactly?

Dear Mahendra

A few points to ponder on first. The concept of transperancy as the basis

for choosing colors is wrong. Both Pearl and Coral are opaque and although

they reflect different colors, the transmission to the finget is nil. So, ev

en if Sapphire transmits yellow or blue, it does not matter. What matters is

the reflected light and the nature of the gem itself.
