ketu gets exalted in guru's house?? can we apply this principle for

other planets also?

Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaya

Dear Partha

Yes. Ganesha got His new head due to Vishnu. This rule can be extended to

all planets and their association always has many meanings. One such meaning

is the functional exaltation and also funcional deb ility.

For example, the conjunction of Mercury and Venus makes Venus fuctionally

debilitate and then if such a combination were in the A3 or A9 or AS3 or AS9

or even in the saptamsa Lagna trines, then there is a problem in begetting

hildren as the union is fruitless. The signs involved matter and if Guru is

strong in kendra, then this functionsl weakness of Venus is broken by the

grace of Guru and the union brings forth children.

In this manner the various combinations given in the standard texts are all

derived from first principles and an understanding of Yoga.

With best wishes
