Jupiter Dasa - Mars Antardasa - BPHS doubt - Pl. Visti

Thank you for the patient explanation. I am sorry to

bug you again with further questions.

Visti: Correction; Mars is the antar Dasa lord

and is in parivartana with Venus, showing a change.

Venus is 10th lord, hence the change is in

profession, and Venus then becomes Badhakesh(11th

lord).

Sai --> I was reading Guru Narasimha's book in which

he was explaining Guru Sanjay's rule that Mahardasa

lord should be evaluated from Sun, Antardasa Lord from

Moon and Pratyantar dasa from Lagna. If I analyze my

chart that way then Antardasa lord Mars(10th lord from

Moon) is in Parivartana with Venus(9th lord from

Moon), which is yoga in itself, so either of their

periods should be good for me.

I am only confused now whether to consider Venus as

Badhakesh from your explanation or is it good from the

Tripod rule.

Sai--> I wish I could do this. Since I cannot afford

buying all the books here in the US I have asked my

friend to get some books from India. For now I am left

to be satisfied with BPHS,VRIA bu Guru Sanjay and VA

and Integrated approach by Guru Narasimha. On my next

trip to India I will buy a bunch of them but for now I

have to learn these texts thoroughly.

important to atleast try to answer them.

fromMoon and Pratyantar dasa from Lagna. If I analyze mychart that way then

Visti: Now we're getting into a more detailed area of Vimshottari dasa. Try

dividing the persons life into 2 parts to start off. (1) Providence (2)

Response to the same. The tripod of life concept will relate more towards (2).

The clue is given by Varahamihira; "The Soul will take on the character of the

Maha Dasa lord". We can then subdivide and see Antar for mind and Pratyantar

for Lagna(actions).

Now for (1), we must understand what the grahas want, and not where we are

going. Meditate on this. I have given several examples of how to see the same

using principles of Sambandha, for sub-dasa's as well.

Rahu is natural enemy of Jupiter. This is good in Dasamsa, but it shows having

to battle with some secret enemies at work during Jupiter Pratyantar.. for this

learn sambandha.

Hello Mr. Visti,

I find ur posts very informative and explainatory in

all respects.

I am student of astrology and I want to read more

about Parashar Hora shastra.

Can u please suggect me some books or web sites which

would be helpful for me for learning.

As u said here in this post, Rahu is natural enemy of

Jupiter.

If that is true, I have Virgo asc and Jup in sagi and

Rahu in sag also with jupiter. I have also read

somewhere rahu indicates exports/Foreign or say

Different culture than ur own. For me jup is also in

own house. So rahu effects are there on 4th house. I

feel Rahu sitting there sometimes cutts down jupiters

good effects and which is my own experience.

In such case we should worship ishta devata for

increasing guru bal or to avoid bad effects of rahu or

both?

In some events for home front, say like buy a house

or like that Will rahu effects in delay or denial? I

think it is based on how closely it aspects. Am I

right?

I have one more quesion regarding dasa.

There could be dasa, Vidasa and last pratyantar.

When to consider that third part Pratyantar?

with Mer antardasa and cureently moon pratyanctar

since july 9 th 2002. Then sept 16 2002 mars

Pratyantar and then nov 3 2002 Rahu pratyantar will

start.

I am visiting India in Nov and plan to buy a house.

Since it is rahu pratyantar within guru and Mer will

there be rahu's effect which is also imp? For that

reason the quesion above was Whether rahu indicates

denial or delay if Jup 13.52 Sag and rahu 25. are near

and with rahu always a retrogetting plannet. Or will

Rahu will make me to stay away from my home land.

May be my questions are not that to the point but can

u please answer in Astro terms or suggect the book /

web site to know more. As I would like to learn more.

The book that is prescribed here at SJVC is a

translation of Parashar Hora Shastra called BPHS and

it comes in 2 volumes, the author is G.C.Sharma.

The other part of the question I would leave it to the

experts.

Dear KPK and others,

I doubt that Rahu is badly placed in Jupiter's signs. I had Rahu dasa

from birth upto 15 years (DOB: Oct 9th 1972, Place: Chittoor, AP,

India, time:1:25 am). You will note that Rahu is Vargottama in

Sagittarius in my horoscope. Rahu is conjunct Jupiter (6th and 9th

lord), and aspected by Mars (5th and 10th lord). My own understanding

is that there is quite some debate as to Rahu/Ketu's own signs,

exaltation and debilitation points.

If Rahu was debilitated in Sag. this period should have been quite

bad. Here are the highlights of that dasa: (a) I consistently topped

my class at school, (b) I was quite popular at school (both with

teachers and students), © I was born into a reasonably wealthy

family with highly educated parents (d) I never had a serious illness

(except typical childhood stuff like measles etc.) during these years.

If you have specific questions as to other specific effects of this

dasa, please ask.

As a little puzzle to the astrologers in this group, can you guess

what if any significant event occured in my life in the last 3 days?

I will provide the answer to the question in a few days.

Hello Krishna

I agree with u, during my rahu dasa the results were

same. I was almost topper in all schooling with good

recognition among friends,teachers and place where i

used to live before my marriage. I am 1972 born and

completed my graduation in 1995 , my Whole rahu dasa

was from 1978 to 1995, There was not a single break in

education and also I graduated BE with excellent

scores and during Rahu Dasa last Phase Nov 95, I got a

job in One of the well known IT firms . So Overall

Rahu Mahadasa was good.

Even for me I am from reasonably wealthy family with

highly educated parents and both of my parents are

associated with Teaching profession with my dad had

side business during those times.. No worry at all

during my rahu dasa.

Interesting thing is that, In My Main chart (Jup in 4

th in Sag) and D-9 (Mars in Scorpio)Both have 4 th

lord in 4th but in both charts Rahu is also sitting

there.

I also agree with u , there is quite some debate as to

Rahu/Ketu's own signs, exaltation and debilitation

points. I said with my experience Rahu sometimes

cutts down jupiters good effects and which is my own

experience because I stared finding them specially

during my jupiter dasa.. Its just started from 1995.

And I am currently Jup Mer dasa. I am observing

specially that As my 4 th and 7 th lord is Jup. Jup

effects are good but they are not to the marks.

May be its my thinking.Learned members correct me if

wrong. But I am saying During Rahu with jupiter is

reduces the marks of jup effects, during Jup dasa.

Good effects are there but with some kind of

Respected Sanjay Sir,

I do have debilitated Ra, Ke in my chart. Ke is in Ta

(Lagna)and the Karaka for Ta, Su( Taking Ta as asc)is

in 8th Sg with Me.

Ra is debilitated in Sc and Karaka for Sc which is Ve

is conjunct with Ra and Sa.(7th House Ve)

How would you interpret this? and is this placement

beneficial?

Dear Krishna,

Rahu is a malefic, and all malefics are good in Upachaayas. The

houses 3, 6, 10 & 11 are upachaayas. The 3H is house of Parakrama,

and Rahu gets exalted there. The 6H is house of Obstacles &

Diabolical affairs and it is his Moolatrikona sign, and finally the

11H(Aquarius) is baadhaka sign of the natural zodiac starting from

Aries, which is his own sign.

Parasara mentioned that Rahu is in debility in Scorpio the house of

the dead, and hence this position is used as its debilitation

sign ... but only for Ayur Dasas(Dasas related to longevity) and not

Phalita Dasa!

Ok .. now, Rahu is debilitated in 6H from Lagna. He is involved in a

Vipareeta Raja Yoga here as the 8L in 6H with 8L. Also, analyze the

Mahadasa from Sun. Here Rahu is in 4H from Sun. The natural

significators of 4H are Moon & Mercury. Both are Mahayogadas, and

posited in 4H along with AL!!! No wonder this dasa was good.

In D24, Gemini Rises with the Nodes aspected by Lagna Lord. For

matters pertaining to Success, one should prefer AL over Lagna. Her

AL in Pisces and Nodes in 4H is not a good sign. Hence I feel, the

chart needs rectification. If the time is moved back by 7minutes or

so, Lagna changes to Aries, with AL in Capricorn. Then Rahu a

malefic in 6H from AL, gives success in competitions.

Oce again, we analyze Rahu from Sun. Rahu is in 7H from Sun. The 7H

is signified by Venus. Venus is in quadrant from AL, involved in

Raja Yoga with Mars the 4L from AL. Further, Venus is Yogakaaraka

from AL!!!

Interestingly, in Rasi chart, Rahu is debilitated in 3H from AL, and

further he is debilitated in Navamsa too. This is good for material

gains. Now, Jupiter is also present in this combination, and he is

strongly placed. My guess is Jupiter Dasa must have pushed you in

the direction of spirituality.

Note: you are now Running Jupiter-Rahu, both involved in 3H from AL.

So Vipareeta Raaja Yoga will function and take effect. As jupiter is

9L and represents father, I am worried about him!!

Dear Lakshman

You will tend to dominate over spouse and can make her life miserable as

the lagnesh is in 7th with Rahu. venus in such a place can cause a terrible

loss of spiritual energy in 7th house related matters to put it nicely. Sun

& Merc are a blessing in the 11th from AL. You will be dutiful to parents,

maybe father although the Sun lording the 7th from AL shows differences in

ideology with father and inspite of differences you will gain from him and

sun god. Western direction is good for you..There is so much more to say.

Just read and you can get all this. the nodes are good in debility in

kendra.

Respected Sanjay sir,

I amtruely amazed by your intutive capablities and you have said somany

things in few words very precisely and accurately. I also have one small

request. I am little worried about my career as it has been quiete uncertain

in last 2 years. It is really causing a lot of worries which also may be an

indication of loss of spiritual energy due to Ve in 7th. It also happens to

be in 7th in my D10 albeit debilitated.(Pi lagna & Ve is in Virgo.) Is there

a remedy to overcome this. I am currently running Ke Maha dasa and Saade

saathi. hence my request to know about career options.
