but there r some basic questions in my mind

my questions was

now the jupiter transites to the cancer

then it will b favourable to which people most

1. people having cancer as ascendent in there lagna

chart

2. people having cancer as moon sign

3. people having jupiter in cancer in any bhava in

there lagna chart

or

4. the people having jupiter in cancer in there lagna

chart in 9th bhava which is place of fate

also

now the jupiter transites to cancer but the jupiter

is suffering the GURU ASTA period from 6 july

then how much effects the jupiter ( in this period

)can create on the above people

untill it again rises on 1 aug 2k2

Dear Ajay

Here's what I know so far and hope your questions can help me

also in

learning about the transits. I have mentioned all known techniques

below.

1. Here's a quote from Narasimha Guru's book(and which pretty

much

synchronizes with classical vedic astrology concepts):

" A Planet occupying or aspecting a rasi in transit influences

the

matters signified by the houses and the planets stationed in that

rasi in the natal chart"

My interpretation is as follows……Apply this principle and

remember

that Jupiter supports : materialism as well as spiritualism. In this

manner one's karma will become critical for one's life

directions and

Jupiter will activate the sign as well as the planets in that rasi.

The effects can be greatly benefic or malefic/hazardous depending

upon the nature of rasi's and planets aspected by Jupiter. This

is

the general principle. If the antardasa of the planets aspected is in

progress then the effects will become more stronger(benefic or

malefic), otherwise the aspected rasi's or planets will give

their

effects subject to their nature and subject to your karma. In case

Jupiter aspects 10th Lord/10th house then the person will get better

job or new job only if the person is actively working hard to get the

job or working hard in the present job, otherwise other things

signified by 10th house/lord may become activated.

2, Also there are other principles governing the transit of planets

and there are special tables and rules for that i.e. Nakshtara based

transits which can be fine tuned for any one `s personal rashi

chart.

There is a very good article" Assess the transit the stellar way

" by

Hemamalini raghunathan in the July2002 issue of Star Teller Magazine.

One needs to ascertain the Janma Tara(Nakshatra occupied by moon at

birth and consider it as Ist Star/Nakshtara and then find the Other

Nakshtaras like Sampat Tara, Vipat Tara etc.)

For example the general effects, of a person born in Chitra Nakshtara

(Natal moon at birth in Chitra) are as follows: Jupiter's transit

through Punarvasu, Pushyami and Aslesha will bring honor and gain of

reputation (from July2002 to July2003 when Jupiter is in transit

through Cancer). Next fine tune it using special tables for

Jupiter's

transit through various Nakshtara's as given in Hemamalini's

article

or Narasimha's book.

First use Jupiter's transit through various Nakshatras tables and

then use Stellar effects tables(Janma Tara, Sampat Tara, Vipat Tara

etc)

3. Also Narasimha Guru has given the nature of transits when

considered from Natal Moon's position (Swarna Murthi, Loha Murthi

etc) and that is another critical factor and a topic in itself. This

is the hardest thing(Still trying to understand it) and may be the

final indicator.

4. When you combine the effects of 1, 2 and 3 then only a final

concrete picture might emerge and remember that I am just a student

only.

I have attached the general tables and also the tables for

jupiter's

transit through various Nakshtaras(rules tables) below for your

convenience as well as the original Excel spreadsheet, incase the

table goes haywire on the internet.

Hope it helps

Regards

Rajesh Kumaria

Dear Ajay

Thanks for your appreciation. Actually I am also just a student of

vedic astrology only and so there is no need to address me as Sir. We

all have learned several concepts from Jyotish Gurus of this group

from time to time. Actually you will need to post your date, time and

place of birth and only then I can make some interpretations based on

various principles concerning Jupiter's transits. Also other learned

members can give their comments.

Also I am not an expert on Ashtakavarga, although BPHS mentions that

Ashtakavarga of Jupiter can be used for finding the negative effects

of Saturn's movements , related to knowledge, intelligence and

children.

There are several standard books mentioned in various messages on

this website. Beginners can use How to Judge a Horoscope by Shri B.V.

Raman. Then there are books by Jyotish Gurus of this group..Jamini

Sutras and Crux of Vedic Astrology by Shri Sanjay Rath. Vedic

Astrology An Integrated Approach by Narasimha Guru. Also there are

several articles on Narayana dasa on this website. I think Gorwani's

website has also some good articles on learning astrology. I think

some sources for getting these books are also available and mentioned

in other messages. I cannot pin point those messages. You have to

search them.
