Guest guest
Namaste, Now that the spite of viruses has abated, attachments are allowed again on this list. If you sent a mail containing an attachment (e.g. a .jhd chart or a .doc document) in the last ten days and the attachment was removed automatically, you may resend your mail now. This also means that we are again open to a virus assault. Whenever you get a mail from a list member containing an attachment, use utmost discretion and open the attachment only at your own risk. Guest guest
Hello all I suggest that the people have a personal Firewall running too, the zonealarm personal firewall is free of charge and is good. (www.zonealarm.com), it will remove any virus based extension file( even .exe)before the email client opens the mail. So it will be further safe to download mails using OUtlook express. You can try tiny firewall or the many others in cnet.com downloads. Also, if you are running internet explorer please make sure you use all the recent updates for the same. this also eliminates some problems like opening of .exe via net/email client using IE. and most important, update your antivirus definition files! thank you and sorry if this information has already been posted before.
