I have case where there is marriage compatability of 24.5 out of 36 points based on vedic astrology system. The only incompatability is due to mangalik dosha. I would like to knw whether marriage is advisable in this case or not. If marriage happened what would be the implications? How is the manglik dosha is affecting the married life? When Mangal is in 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, & 12th house, the person is Manglik. To nullify this the partner should also be manglik or should have Saturn or ketu or mangal. I would like the gurus to correct me if i am wrong. Another issue for the spouse to be harmed, the shtira karaka should be harmed as well. For example mars aspecting 3rd from Jupiter (Sthira karaka for husband in a female's chart) is not good at all. I guess what i am saying is just being manglik is a generic statement. I will be obliged if guru's and learned members here can comment/correct. I would like Guru's and other members to throw more light on as to whether the match has to of the same type. The houses are counted from sign to sign. The Mangaladosha need not be of same type, in both, for compatability. In olden days, when marriage was taking place in childhood, Mangala Dosha meant- widow hood within 1 year of marriage. Today it might mean Seperation frm Spouse or Divorce. One should check the Life span of the partners also, to find out the effect of this Dosha. In India, in some parts, especially for a Girl having this Dosha, the acharyas, do a Pooja.. The girl is married to a TREE (The Aswathha), and the tree is cut.... Thus symbolising the death of the 1st husband.
