Transit in message 15865 and hopefully that can help you to analyze

it for yourself...if not, then its beyond my capacity to answer this

question..good luck while Jupiter is in Cancer...Rajesh Kumaria

Namaste Guruji

Thanks Rajesh Kumaria for your reply.

I read message no. 15865.

But my query is not related to the transition of

jupitor but the way it has been situated in kundali.

If jupitor is retrogated (with degrees 15) and

vargottam then how do the effect of retrogation will

effect in the GuruDasa.

Parag

Dear Parag,

Retrograde essentially means a slowing down or delay in actually giving results.

It could also be inferred as a change in the natural tendencies of a graha.

Jupiter a natural benefic generally leads one toward spiritual or Dharmic

activities but a retrograde Jupiter could lead one to material life or increase

the attack of the senses. This again has to be judged specifically to house

placement and individual chart. A graha in 15 degrees is considered to be in

its youthful state and has power. Learned Gurus may please correct me if there

was an error.

Hi,

The complete chart is ofcourse important

Retrograde planet get;s more rays from sun indicating a high value of Chesta

Bala. A retro planet in a chart indicates a deep rooted desire from past life

and to attain that in this life a lot of efforts have to be put in. Also a

retro planet will reverse it''s indications. For example a retro planet in the

5th house could show delay in having children. In this case Jupiter being a

natural benefic if retro in a kendra or a trine is bad enough. More so if that

jupiter is debilitated, indicating a curse from past life.I dont think jupiter

being vargottama will remove this curse.

I will be obliged if Guru's and learned members can correct me

Jaya Jagannatha

Dear Hari,

I have read Gurudeva Sanjay's opinion that retrograde planets do give the

results of a debilitation or change in their natural tendencies. Infact an

example he did give was of Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, where Saturn is

exhalted but retrograde thereby changing from a Rajayogakaraka to that of a

Pravrajya. It gave the paramhamsa moksha as opposed to bhoga. But I was only

referring to the fifteen degrees advancement and calling it in youth. Of course

everything has to be taken in the context of house placement and chart.

BTW the same is also a point of concern for me personally as I have retrograde

Jupiter in my 11th and though it is in the 3rd from AL indicating renunciation,

it would be very difficult as the senses would attack incessantly. Its due in

two years and I can give you first hand comments on that hopefully.Learned

Gurus may please correct my comments.

Dear hari, Sudarshan & others,

Planets in retrogression generally tend to delay the things that it stands

for / the signifactions of the house it occupies. If it is vargottam then

the delays are felt strongly. Planets like Jupiter being retrogade is a

curse from past life. It will make a person to compensate for the mistakes

that he has commited in the past life. something simillar to that of an AK

role. Since it is a natural benefic it may take one to a moksha marga unless

afflicted by Rahu or a malefic.

If it is involved in any yogas Like GK or, Guru Mangal yoga then it may

bestow material gains too but after delays.

Namaste Guruji,

I am thankful to all those who have answered my

question.

But if I try to conclude from all the disscussion then

I can say that such a person will be deprived of the

relationship with his elder brother and other

relatives, as his jupitor is in 3rd house which is his

lagnesh also( ascendent is sattigurs).

But actually in his life that person has attained very

close and fruitful relationship with all of his

relatives who has helped him immensly.

Then why such disparity in conclusion and real life?

Regards

Parag

A retrograde planet usually becomes powerful more so

if it is retrograde in debilitation. am example could

be of my boss....who has a retrograde jupiter

debilitated in capricorn in the 10th house. he is

currently running jupiter dasha and his career has

shot up since then. a planet retrograde in its own

house or in exaltation is not powerful.
