(partly) below:If a Grah has the required Shad Bal, it will prove favourable to

the native by virtue of its strength.However, Shani's extreme strength will give

long life as well as miseries (grief).But this is indeed Santhanam's own

view!!!(and wrong too).original verses in BPHS have nothing of that meaning.The

last sentence(However.......miseries)is added by him on his own.If you know

Sanskrit,you can verify from the original.I checked it in 3 different

translationsof BPHS.Incidently what I wrote was also not from BPHS.I knew this

when I wrotemy reply.But since you quoted BPHS,I thought that I might be

confusingand I also mentioned the name of Parashara.Sorry for that.What I said

earlier still stands good.My view is from Prashn-Marg 14-32.Dr. Raman has

translated it and also gave further explanation in notes.In general strong Grah

is good and weak is bad.On a related note,there is another verse in Prashn-Marg

which says:If benefics are exalted they are extreamly good.If malefics are

debilited they are extreamly bad.If benefics are debilited they can do hardly

any good.(they are still benefic)If malefics are exalted they can do hardly any
