Respected all,

While in search of vedic resources on the internet, I found an

interesing article on: "The Rays of Wealth" by P.R. Sinha. Learned

members of the groups may like to have a look at it (if already not

done so)url: http://www.astroexpert.com/Articles/ArticleView.asp?

ID=3. I found it correct in 90% of the cases.

Kind regards and best wishes.

Dear Rashid,

The article's author probably 'fetched' it from "Uttara Kalamrita" where it

is clearly mentioned.

I know a chart where 9thLs from Lagna & moon are Sun & Mercury. the rays

together come to 38--dividing by 12 we get remainder 2. Moon is in Libra. Hence

Mars own 2nd counted from Moon.Mars shows wealth as in Hundreds. But the person

is very rich. I think we can't calculate wealth & prosperity by such simplistic

methods ,else Astrology would have become anybody's game.

There is another method given by B.V. Raman in his book "How to Judge

A Horoscope" Vol 1 page 120-121.

It did not work for my chart because I get reminder 0 and reminder 0

is not explained in his book

Dear Chandan,

In case of remainder 0, take the full number, this is basic vedic maths.

i.e. if we divide by 12, and get the remainder 0, then take 12 as the number.

Could you please give us what BV. Raman teaches, as i don't have that book.

Best wishes, Visti.

Thank you Visti. Here is the method:

B. V Raman assigned Kalas or Rays or root numbers to each planet as

follows:

Su 30

Mo 16

Ma 6

Me 8

Ju 10

Ve 12

Sa 1

1. Take the lords of 9th from Lagna and the Moon; add the root

numbers of the planets. Divide the total by 12. The reminder counted

from Chandra Lagna (the position of the radical Moon) goes under the

name of Special Chandra Lagna or Dhana Lagna.

2. If a number of benefics occupy the Dhana lagna, the person will be

immensely wealthy.

If Dhana lagna is occupied by pure malefics, such as Sun, Mars or

Saturn, the person will have moderate wealth. If the melefic planet

is in exaltion then wealth will be moderate in the beginning but

considerable later on in life. If the Dhana lagna has both benific

and malefic, then also the person will be able to command a lot of

wealth. The same rule applies for planet aspecting the dhana lagna

and its trines (gives wealth during its dasa or sub dasa).

Planets situated in 3rd, 6,8,12 from dhana lagna will destroy wealth

during its Dasa and Bhuktis.

Vist, are you still checking mails in your Vishnu account?

Dear Chandan,

Unfortunately these calculations undergo a big flaw, which has been discussed earlier on the list.

I will give a simple example. The two values; 30 and 16 are both higher than 12,

and since we're going to add them and remove muliples of 12, then why aren't the

values just; 6 & 4 to begin with? The higher values are just a waste of time

then!

Assuming that the rishis were indeed able mathematicians, we must be missing

something in the calculation process.

Best wishes, Visti.

You mean when Indu lagna gets activated by aspects of both Jupiter & Saturn together OR

either Jupiter or Saturn.

I guess aspect here would include transit over Indu Lagna.
