Guest guest
Hi, When the ascendant is within the three-degree periods at the end of Pisces, Scorpio and Cancer, it is said to be within the lagna gandanta. What if the lagna is outside this range in D-1 but within it in a divisional chart? In case you're wondering what the hell I mean by this, I shrink each division proportionately depending on which divisional chart I look at. For example, if Jup exalts at the 5th degree of Cancer in D-1, it should exalt at a sixth of a nakshatra pada in D-9 and so on... Also, just as the lagna being in gandanta doesn't bode well for the self, does the placement of other planets in such gandantas mean bad news for the karakatwas they represent? I know this could be a wee far-fetched, because someone like Saturn could languish in such places for as long as three months, but I still want to know! Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Rama, Isnt those fatal degrees related only to the moon? I thought it applied to moon espcially in relation to balarishta and remedial measures!. Am sure guru's here will throw some light on this. Guest guest
There are three types of gandantas - tithi, nakshatra and lagna. I was referring to the last. Each of them has a different range. Tithi gandanta is over 12 degrees, rasi gandanta over 24 degrees and lagna gandanta over 3 degrees. The latter two are over two signs. The first two relate to the distance between Sun and Moon, and Moon alone respectively. The next time you feel like trolling someone, don't pick me, because I know the devil in you knows all of this Warm regards, Rama Katti Narahari wrote: Om Gurave Namah Dear Rama, Isnt those fatal degrees related only to the moon?
