I fully agree with you.But there is a big problem.You need a lot of

time to

download all mails from web.I have a suggestion to solve this problem

if others can help.

 

We can create monthwise archives and put them in zip form in files

section.

this will allow us to download mails very fast.Those who are having

them

already on their computer,can do it in very small time.

I also suggest to use a standered naming convention to avoid

duplication

of archives.For example,Archive for aug.2002 can be named A0208.zip

where 02 stands for year and 08 for month and A is for archieve.
