Guest guest
>From my studies of Jyotish, it seems that its biggest weakest is the ayanamsha contraversy. Noone can decide which one is the REAL one and therefore predictive methodology bases on dashas is always put in question. This has always bothered me and I believe it has lead to my disenchantment with the science of vedic astrology. Anyone have any feelings or opinions about this? Guest guest
dear jeremy people unnecessary create confusion about ayanamsas many of the leading astrologers use lahiri & make right predictions. don't just think about other ayanamsas right now. i recently discovered many confusions......then i should have left astrology long before. prashant --- sanjayprabhakaran <sprabhakaran wrote: > Sri rama jaya rama jaya jaya ram > Dear Jeremy, > As per teachings Lahiri(Chitrapaksha) Ayanamsa is > closest to the > actual, you should also try using it. > Warm Regards > S.Prabhakaran > > vedic astrology, "rootsyrecords" > <jeremy_chevrier@d...> > wrote: > > From my studies of Jyotish, it seems that its > biggest weakest is > the > > ayanamsha contraversy. Guest guest
Your mail takes me back to college 18 years because it was for quite the same reason that I decided to choose civil engineering instead of zoology. I mean, how could I regard zoology seriously when the guys couldn't even decide whether the chick came first or the egg? In fact, I don't regard hens as a species even today! If they don't find a solution to the missing link, I'll stop considering humans a species too... to tell the truth, before reading your post, the last time I fell off the chair was when I saw Bush praying at a mosque last year shortly after 9/11. C'mon mate, ultimately, any theory that works accurately and consistently is an acceptable model. Let's try to find out the exact date of coincidence (of the precession and the zodiac) by whatever is available with us today, or even with live examples, so we can fine-tune the available ayanamshas, but to get disenchanted by this divine science because of just this one thing is a bit off. Seismologists and meteorologists get PhDs and knighthoods for findings with a lot lower success rate than even the worst vedic astrologers. You're disenchanted with them too? There are quite a few ayanamshas floated around (I bet you haven't heard of the Hari-Rama ayanamsha yet) but just like banks, razor blades and brain cells, only the best survive the longest.
