Dear Narasimha ji,

Regarding Ista Devata analysis, does the placement of planets in Dual (Vishnu)

Rasis influence their indications for a Deity? On the same line, would the

placement of the Sun and Moon in Virgo and Saggitarius aspecting the 12th from

Karakamsa be inferred as Lord Rama and Lord Krishna(as opposed to Lord Shiva

and Shree Ambika) influencing the native in his choice of Ishta.I was wondering

about the influence of the Rasis in this regard.Thank you in advance.

Lord Shiva. The 12th from karakamsa stands for moksha. Its strongest occupant or

lord shows ishta, i.e. the deity who will grant moksha. Rasi aspects on it show

deities who help in the final goal. So Shiva is not the ishta. He is an

intermediate deity whose worship will take the native to ishta.Scorpio is

empty. So take lords Mars and Ketu for the lord. The stronger lord gives the

easier, but longer, path to moksha. The weaker lord gives the more difficult,

but shorter, path to moksha. If the native is really keen on moksha, take the

weaker lord. It is Ketu. The 6th from AmK has Moon, a saattwik planet. So use

the sattva beeja - sreem.Ketu can show Ganesa. Ketu in Leo specifically shows

Lambodara. So the following mantra can be used:Om Sree Lambodaraaya NamahAs

this mantra has 9 letters, the effect of this mantra will mainly go into Virgo

(9th house in rasi chart). He will find a good guru and excellent spiritual

direction once he starts doing this mantra. However, final moksha is granted by

only Vishnu. So the following mantra can be read for Matsya (fish incarnation

of Vishnu):Om Sreem Matsya Devaaya NamahThis again has 9 letters. This mantra

will also take him to a guru, who will correct any mistakes in his approach. For

Ketu, one can also use the Veda Murthi form. Ketu has 4 Veda Murthi forms. In

Leo, the form is Markata Mukha, who rules over Atharva Veda. If you know the

mantra for Markata Mukha, you can use it. You may also just pray to Hanuman. All

the 3 alternatives above are fine. They will take the native to moksha in their

own way.> I have not yet learnt about D-20, but will try to attempt it.The 5th

in D-20 shows the deity that one is attracted to. But ishta is still shown by

the 12th from karakamsa in navamsa.First check if D-20 is accurate. With a

little downward change in the birthtime, the D-20 lagna moves from Li to Vi. If

it is Li, the 5th has Rahu and Ketu. Rahu is strong being in his own sign. This

could show Durga. Ketu could show Ganesa. Or both could show a Sarpa devata.

However, if lagna is Vi, the 5th has Mercury aspected by Moon and it could show

Vishnu or Tripura Sundari.> The 5th house in D-20 shows the Bhakti Marga. This
