Guest guest
I've for some time now been introspecting on the relationship between Jupiter and Mercury, and must confess that the issue has remained an enigma (for me). Jupiter is an all-knowing satwik, sagacious and benevolent, and a first-rate benefic. Mercury is a rajasik, easy-going, playful and intelligent. Jupiter resides near treasure houses, and Mercury in playgrounds. I see nothing that warrants an inimical relationship that exists between the two. If at all, there should've been neutrality. Why then do Jupiter and Mercury dislike each other? I'm sure Visti and/or other gurus will help show me why. Warm regards, Ramapriyahubli (AT) vsnl (DOT) comDo you ? Guest guest
Thanks. Now I think I know. I really needed the reply to this Warm regards, Ramapriya hubli (AT) vsnl (DOT) com Sanjay Rath wrote: Om Namo Bhagavate Vaasudevaya Dear Ramapriya The sambandha between planets like the sambandha between people is not perfect in any mannar. The Naisargika Sambandha is based on the KARMA or the profession of the planets and their friends and enemies are based on the lordships of planets from thier MOOLATRIKONA (Office) Rasi. Thus, in the mundane or material world the relationship between the taxcollector (Jupiter) and the taxpayer (Mercury) is far from being very congenial. Jupiters Moolatrikona in Sagittarius demands that he starts behaving like a Kshatriya which is against his nature, and we find such a Jupiter being stern, straightforward to the extent of hurting etc. Mercury the toiler and bread earner does not like the taxes he has to pay and always feels that the high position enjoyed by the king is ONLY due to his taxes..his harvest at Vigo goes into too much tax..so he is always thinking of TAX SAVING SCHEMES i.e. cutting down on what he has to pay to Jupiter. Come to another level. Here Jupiter is Brihaspati, relaxed and meditating at home in Pisces, in the natural mood of giving (natural 12th house). Mercury with all his desires and wealth feels debilitated as he has spent so much time thinking of saving and preserving his stuff that the concept of giving is totally driving him over. Here the mercury is in Gemini, at home and wanting to learn, to go to school, to show his abilities..here he is trhe adopted son of Jupiter, just like every student has Jupiter as the second KARAKA for the ninth house i.e. Guru is the second father. Thus, we need to define and understand roles and then the sambandha become clear.
