ADMIN: Organizational Politics

Namaste friends,

 

I was away for the weekend, came back and found a pile of mails on

the organizational politics.

 

I am the founder and administrator of this list. I was the second

person, after Pt. Ashok Kaushik, to be accepted by Pt. Sanjay Rath as

a Jyotish student. Later Pt. Rath made me a guru of Sri Jagannath

Vedic Centre, New Delhi, India. I am also familiar with Pt. Rath's

efforts to establish international branches of his organization.

 

As you may have guessed, something went wrong with this organization

in USA. But, as you may guess, it will soon be corrected. It is a

matter of time. As Siva wisely cautioned below, please leave it to

the gurus.

 

There was no need for some posts that appeared here to do so. This

list is for discussing astrology, especially as per the tradition of

Puri as taught in Pt. Rath's parampara. It is not for discussing the

politics of Jyotish organizations or propagandas of individuals.

 

Four things:

 

(1) I apologize for all that you had to put up with.

 

(2) At the same time, I request all of you to stay away from this

discussion. This is an internal matter of an organization and please

do not interfere. Some people are hell-bent on making a spectacle of

it. Please don't let them succeed. Please ignore them.

 

(3) A lot has already been said. Censorship will not serve any useful

purpose now and so I am not resorting to it. However, please exert

discretion yourself. There's a lot of good stuff to discuss. Why

waste time on politics?

 

(4) To the sincere students who are confused by all this: Don't

worry, all this will be fixed soon. Organizations and politics will

always be there, but what matters is knowledge. The knowledge that is

there with Sanjay and his students will stay the same and this

politics will have no impact on it.

 

The knowledge comes from the parampara (teacher-student succession).

Organization is not parampara. Parampara is like lagna. It is the

Satya Peetha (seat of truth). Organization, OTOH, is like arudha

lagna. It is the Maya peetha (seat of illusion). It is the image.

Though organization is the only thing that exists physically, it is

but an illusion. The real thing is parampara.

 

I hope the above gave a new insight into arudhas. I keep saying that

only arudhas show things that manifest in the material world.

Somebody wondered sometime back why arudha lagna shows body too. All

that must be clear now. Just consider parampara vs organization in

the case of the parampara of Pt. Rath. Everything will become clear.

 

Bottomline: Irrespective of the turbulences and changes in the

organization, the knowledge of the parampara will continue to come to

you through this list! Thank you for your co-operation.
