Guest guest
Dear Chanda, Dr. Satya Prakash explains very well what is domitude in mail 17909 : « A domitude is the exact position of an astronomical point on the local sphere on which the twelve houses are defined ». Domitudes are used in western astrology to ascertain whether a planet is truly in the house it appears to be in the regular chart. If the planet has high latitude, that may not be the case. I made a slight mistake when I said that domitudes are measured on the equator. That is so with Regiomontanus houses but not in all systems. I think sectors cannot be compared to houses, as they have no meanings. I have never seen them used for anything but research. They are included in many softwares because a lot of people like to do a bit of research. Besides, statistical results cannot be used as such on individual cases. For example, I have Mars in the 1st. House, 7 degrees from the Ascendant. This is supposed to be statistically linked to athletic champions. In fact I hate exercise.
