Guest guest
Om asato maa sadgamaya Tamaso maa jyotir gamaya Mrityor Amritam Gamaya Om Shanti Shanti Shantiye Lead me from unreal to real Lead me from darkness to light Lead me from death to immortality Brihadaranyaka Upanishad Namaste, Folks , We have had this conversation for years and through various groups ( SJVC, GList, etc, etc.) this is, how do we confirm the day of the week IS REALLY that day. I can confirm the angle of Chandra to Surya; I can measure various yogas and degrees, but I cannot see a reference point for the day of the week. This is key to casting an accurate Tithi Pravish chart e.g. the weekday ruler at the commencement of the native's year has great influence on the coming year. That said, and after thousands of years and waxing and waning of Sat Yuga to Kali Yuga what guide point exists that says monday is monday! Any clear thinking on this would be a boon. Guest guest
Om Sri Gurave Namah, Dear Frank, In Prashna Marga various methods of predicting the the results of prasna are mentioned based on Weekday and the breath flow(Ida/Pingala/Sushumna and nature like earth, fire etc). So an daivagnya/yogi who has realised this method can tell by the basis of his breath , the visible nimitta as what day it is ; even hora, tithi etc . If you have not you should read Prasna Marga translated by B.V. Raman. Warm Regards Sanjay Prabhakaran - Frank vedic astrology Saturday, October 19, 2002 10:03 PM [vedic astrology] Tithi Pravish and the day of the week.
