Transits, dasa confluence

Dear all,

I notice that in a couple of months saturn will go into taurus in retrograde.

In the process, it will transit through my ascendant ruler mercury in lagna 1st

degree, and then over AK mars in last degree of taurus. The most interesting

part is that I will also be running Saturn/Mars Vimshottri dasa.

I also notice that Rahu will transit over natal Jupiter and Jupiter itself will

be neecha in navamsa though uchcha in rasi. Both Jupiter and Saturn will be

retrograde at that time.

Any speculations?

I will post the results if any in Jan/Feb here.

Re: [vedic astrology] Yoga-Query

Vyam Vyaasadevaaya Namah

Dear Nimmi,

The answer is very simple, and can be viewed from Sri Ramas chart, where Saturn

was exalted in the 4th house yet retrogade.. When Saturns Moola Dasa started

one would expect a grand raja yoga to have come in the form of grand kingdom,

lots of vahana, etc, yet instead he was exhiled from his home!!

Ramakrishna Paramahamsa had Saturn exalted in the 9th house, yet again

retrogade, and instead of confering the many riches and raja yogas from elders,

this led to his renunciation (Lagna lord shows own actions).

Hence the retrogade of such a malefic like Saturn will confer the exact opposite results.

As for Hamsa Yoga, this is another Mahapurusha Yoga, and incase of us simple

humans, only 1 Mahapurusha Yoga will actually manifest to its fullest. If

Saturn denies his own, then Jupiter will surely confer his own.

The aspect of Saturn could mean quite a few things, i.e. during Saturn Dasa the

native will be very frustrated through his/her desire to attain the Mahapurusha

Yoga of Jupiter, only to be limited by his/her own potential.

If other malefics have Graha dristi on Jup then we maybe looking at a curse of a

Brahmin... Many possibilities.

Re: [vedic astrology] Yoga-Query

Visti,

I know someone with a Sasa yoga (saturn exalted in lagna). However, saturn is

retrograde. How would you expect this to manifest? There are no debilitations

in navamsa.

On another note, would not the aspect of exalted saturn on exalted jupiter in

cancer also affect the Hamsa yoga?

Best wishes,

Nimmi

Vyam Vyaasadevaaya Namah

Dear Tridesh,

In the chart below, debilitation of Jupiter in Navamsa will deny the good effects of Hamsa yoga?

Visti: Yes, this is Gods hand denying the fruits of these blessings.

Sun is debilitated both in Rasi and navamsa. This will cancel the debility?

Visti: no way.

Venus placed in lagna and its MT sign and exalted in navamsa will it affect

adversely due to its retrograde nature?

Visti: yes, the Malavya Mahapurusha Yoga is denied, but she will be very

beutiful. Maybe she will enter a beuty contest and loose, in her 24th year.

No Problems(NO PROBLEMO), but please do post your birth data so that

we can come to know the position of Natal Moon(so that we can know

whether its Kantaka Shani, Ashtama Shani, Sade Sati, sapatama Shani

or dashama Shani etc ...just guessing...infact it can start a whole

new chapter of speculations/investigations related to transits) and

other planets. There is never ever a problem when you just need

speculations only(humourously speaking, the problem starts when one

needs and demands precise predictions immediately on this list)...I

have tons of speculations for various astrological

combinations..infact I am surrounded by speculations everywhere in

all arenas of life, especially when ever I go through spreadheets of

transits and more transits all the time....hope i did not offend

anyone...Regards..Rajesh Kumaria

Hi,

No offence at all.

Moon sign is capricorn, lagna Gemini

I would however, ideally, like to limit thinking just to this combo rather

than a chart reading.

But if you really want to delve into the chart, it is 3/June/1953 8:46 am

+5:30 GMT. 81E03, 6N59.

Cheers,

Nimmi

Dear Nimmi,

Well I found that your lagna lord Mercury is at 29GE06 while AK mars

is at 29TA22…Both the planets are very close to Rashi Sandhi, if

I am

right(surprisingly that means that both Mercury and mars period are

tough for you especially the mars period). Anyway your question

regarding Saturn's transit is very simple…Using Stellar-limb

method,

given by Hemamalini Raghunathan, in Star Teller magazine, Saturn will

be in transit through Mrigasira until8th June2003 , then in Ardara

Nakshatara from 9th June2003 to 15th June2004 and then through

Punarvasu from 16th June2004 to 30th October 2004 and also in

Punarvasu from 17th Nov 2004 to 24th June 2005. Since Saturn

transits through your 10th Nakshatara from Janam Nakshatara

(Dhanistha) while its in transit through Mrigasira, so its not good

as it results in loss of wealth. Also it passes through Ist Tara i.e,

Janam Tara, hence it can give physical trouble and loss. So you have

to be careful here.

When it passes through Ardara Nakshatara from 9th June2003 to 15th

June2004, then again it transits through your 11th Nakshatara from

Janam Nakshatara(Dhanistha) and results in loss of wealth..however

this time it is 2nd Tara or Sampath tara and it gives good

fortune..That means that losses can be controlled this time. Finally

when it passes through Punarvasu Nakshatra, then it results in

acquisition of wealth as its 12th nakshatara from janam nakshatra but

its 3rd tara i.e, vipath tara and hence it gives monetary

difficulties and some danger. That means a normal flow of income

based on hard work and just be careful for health. All of the above

combinations are based upon PhalDeepika and my interpretations of

various articles..so you can say it's a controlled speculation at

its

very best.

In general Saturn `s transit through 3rd, 6th and 11th house from

Natal moon should be good. Saturn moving into Gemini on 8th

April2003, while Moon is in Aquarius, should be good for fortune

(RAJAT MOORTHI), but then there is obstruction caused by Mars while

its in transit through Sagittarius at the same time…So its normal

or

rather say the good fortune has been neutralized by this angle.

Since your natal saturn is retrograde in 4th house, then it means

that retrograde motions of saturn are harmful for you and direct

motions are better for you. Since you are not passing through Kantaka

Shani, Sade Sati etc, so you are protected from most evil effects of

Saturn. Since Saturn is karmic planet, so it removes all layers of

glamour and obstruction from truth etc.i.e, it shows who we are and

it what direction we are headed. Since you will be passing though

Saturn/Mars period(actually JH LIte shows 18thJune2004 to28thJuly2005

(there seems to be some confusion here)..So that means getting closer

to the truth in double dimensions(in all areas of life) courtesy of

Saturn and atamakaraka mars…Do not worry you should be OK as I

have

observed in my life that the mahadasa of atamakaraka creates some

tensions(feels like that one is going to die if one is surrounded by

books and books during student life, ast it happened to me during my

atamakaraka Rahu's 18 year long long mahadasa) but gives

tremendous

knowledge and education, although very little money…Now going

further

will create uncontrolled speculations so I will stop here…(just

as a

surprise humour on this speculation topic etc..people in India spent

100 million Indian rupees on speculations (illegal betting) related

to Gore vs Bush election in Dec2000, when there was no cricket match

and they had a hard time to place bets on Gore or Bush as they simple

could not understand the American election on internet…it was too

much for a normal cricket lover to understand the US Election. Even

then they placed their bets due to uncontrolled speculative

behaviour)..

Take care and do post the actual results… It will be

interesting..

Regards.. Rajesh Kumaria

Hi Rajesh,

I think you have something wrong - mercury is in the very first degree of

gemini. However, this too is rasi sandhi.

Actually, I am not sure that mars has been that bad for me, even Rahu/Mars.

I was at uni and while Rahu/moon WAS bad in many ways(both in 8th house),

but Rahu/mars saw me into a specialist degree in economics. In Jupiter/mars

my career (I was overseas by then) really took off with substantial salary

increases and culminated in my going contracting in 1989. This is really a

11th house thing. The parivarthana between venus and mars perhaps kicked in

to strenghthen mars.

Mars dasa happened at birth. I was born with a twisted foot which had to be

operated on within months of birth. However, it was fixed up and I never had

any problem since. Perhaps the conjunction of Jupiter and Sun should be

considered as well, as they are all friends together. Alternatively, the

weakness of the 6th ruler can be considered a good thing! But it all seems

to imply gains are strong during mars - ie 11th house - so I am not sure.

Rahu/Mercury was fine as well, with great O level results, no health

problems, but living in a hostel with terrible bathroom conditions that I

dreamt about for years afterwards!

Jupiter/Mercury had both health problems(ugh - miscarriages, allergies,

urinary infections etc) and also academic achievements (actuarial exams).

Saturn/mercury also had health problems(ear/face op) and again academic

achievements (completing actuarial diploma).

The saturn aspect on mercury does seem to lead to health problems or

discomfort. At the same time, mercury seems to assert its inherent nature.

At all times, I was really interested in learning. That would be great if it

happens - from 58 I am in my mercury dasa, so perhaps I can really get stuck

into learning astrology properly in my retirement.

I will post the results in jan/feb. The previous transit of saturn over

mrgasira was difficult, but not seriously so in hindsight. Just very

uncomfortable.

Best regards,

Nimmi

Hi Nimmi, Thanks for the correction.Actually your ascendent is at

29GE06 and your lagna lord mercury is at 00GE25 and that got me

confused for some time. Also AK mars at29TA22 , caused me to think

that you are a person who is a victim/fighter who faced various

period of mars and mercury with all types of assaults on health,

finances etc., Since you have verified (to some extent) that there

were problems related to health but academically it was OK, so may be

I am right on the dollar(at least 25 cents if not 100 cents)...

amother mind boggling thing is that although your Jupiter is somewhat

combust in 12th house, yet in dasamsa its the Ist and 10th lord and

placed favourably in the house of growth(3rd, an upachaya) with Venus

in taurus..This Jupiter-Venus Conjunction is prehaps very strong and

helping you in your career matters when passing through tough

periods...just another calculated guess(may be 50 cents on the dollar

now)..Regards..Rajesh Kumaria.
