Guest guest
visti, if you can reply to this I'd be grateful. I was going thru the archives in a quest to understand the upapada and I had a question wrt this posting of yours. exactly what should I be looking for? in one of the charts I am studying right now the upapada ruler is Jupiter and it resides in the NAVAMSA in the 12th with venus. the woman (whose chart it is) is unmarried at 39 but is in a longterm relationship. she does not know if she will get married to this guy yet and her parents are understandably very distraught. but she seems to be staying with the relationship and says that she loves him etc. but the interesting thing I have noticed is that she is NOT very interested in marriage. ie she does want to be in this relationship but does not have a strong desire to marry. in other words, it's not important that she *marry* - she just doesn't seem to have the urge to be bonded etc in that way. okay, so I went and looked and immediately saw that she's got saturn in lagna chart in the 7th house in capricorn and it's the atmakaraka. also it's with mars(ruler of 2nd from upapada) and sun and they are all in capricorn in the 7th. nasty, eh? upapada itself is in pisces in the 9th and so is jupiter (lording upapada). but jupiter and venus (as I said above) are in sagittarius in 12th in the navamsa (capricorn lagna). venus is in the 8th house (in lagna chart) and moon in 9th with jupiter. I told her she may never get married as it seems too many factors are against it. was I wrong? Visti could you explain the 12th house in navamsa rule a bit wrt this? does it seem to apply here? also, I told her to fast on thursdays. thanks nisha. vedic astrology, "Visti Larsen" <vishnu@l...> wrote: > Vyam Vyaasadevaaya Namah > > -- ------------ > > Dear Mrs Bajaj, > Your daughter is so strongly immersed in Occult subjects and such, and likely she is not going to marry, please do not let the rest of the family suffer due to her road towards God, so do not fear and be in unrest, she will be fine in the arms of SatyaNarayana. > Tell her to keep Satyanarayana Vrtam, her Mantra is: "Om Namo Naraayanaya". > > Astrological reasons are clear. Venus is Atmakaraka and lords Upapada, whilst joining the same in the 8th house. She is chaste, and will be so throughout life.
