Varied opinions on marriage compatibility have confused me

Dear Gurus,

 

Thanks to all gurus for their replies to my query about my possible

marriage compatibility with a person who is ten year elder to me. I

received five varied opinions, which I am attaching below for the

benefit of fellow junior learning people. It seems at times, varied

opinions rather confuse the person- decision rather become more

difficult and complicated. Any comments by Gurus on this. See the

varied opinion after my query below.

Please help me with the marriage compatibility of the following two

persons [(I am the girl partner in the alliance and as such like the

impressive persona of the boy)]

 

Girl: Place of Birth: Amritsar, India (Lat. 31 N 35, Long. 74 E 53)

Date of Birth:8th January 1982(02:27 am)

 

Boy: Place of Birth: Jammu, India (Lat. 32 N 42, Long. 74 E 52)

Date Of birth:14th April 1972 (20:23 pm).

 

I am a little bit confused due to the age difference between us.

Dear MG,

I quickly checked your (girl's) and boy's charts using junior Jyotish

free software. While SA does not believe in MANGALIK dosh, you

need

to know that you both have MANGALIKA dosh in your charts as

explained

below. While it may get cancelled being in both charts, I await SA

analysis by others. Both of you have similarities in your Birth

Chart showing ASC as LIBRA Rasi (ruled by VENUS), and 7th

House (of

Spouse/Marriage) is ruled by ARIES Rasi (ruled by MARS).

 

For you: MARS is in your 12th House w/SATURN in Virgo Rasi

(sign of

MERCURY) and your ASC is Libra--sign of VENUS with

JUPITER in it; and

your NAVAMSHA ASC has JUPITER in Aquarius--sign of

SATURN; good thing

is JUPITER is in ASC ib both your charts--JANMA and

NAVAMSHA. This

MANGALIK dosh, per classical texts, manifests itself if married

before 28 years of age, which will be TRUE in your case, but not the

boy's.

 

For Boy: MARS is in his 8th house w/SATURN and VENUS

(significator

of Wife) in Taurus Rasi (sign of VENUS) and his ASC is Libra--sign

of

VENUS. Boy's NAVAMSHA chart shows ASC in Pisces with

RAHU in it and

KETU in 7th House (of Spouse,i.e., you and Marriage).

 

NOTE: NAVAMSHA Chart is mainly seen for Marriage and

Spouse.

 

While I do not have time to do compatibility checks (eight different

ways), I recommend that you owe it to yourself to do it using free

software on many web sites and may even want to consult someone

for

doing a remedy known as "ARKH VIVAH" for MANGALIKA

Dosh as you are

under 28 years of age prior to getting married to any one.

Opinion 2:

 

Dear MG,

 

>From his chart we have:

 

NEGATIVES:

 

5th lord Saturn, debilitated in Navamsha, is in the 8th and afflicted

by Rahu. This is not good for his digestive health or children

,especially with a weak Sun. He'll also be highly emotional.

 

Lagna lord Venus and Mars, the significator for you the spouse, both

in

the 8th renders them both weak. With the lagna lord in the 8th and the

Sun weak in infancy, the vitality and health aren't as good. This is

not good for the marriage.

 

In Navamsha, the nodes are upon the 1/7 axis which is bad for

self/spouse and the 12th lord of Rasi/7th lord of Navamsha is in the

8th which also echoes problems on the conjugal front.

 

In the Rasi, 12th lord Mercury is in the 6th afflicted by Ketu. This

is another indication of weak health, trouble to immune sytem, and

digestive problems. It also suggests losses in career and insolvency

from same due to litigations. Problems staying with the spouse, loss of

comforts etc..

 

Looking for losses and litigation to the Shastamsha you find that Mars

the indicator for partners is debilitated. Mercury(losses) and

Saturn(speculations) are the house of dispute/litigation.

Interestingly, both nodes are in Saturn's 5th house of speculation.

Jupiter(entrepreneurial initiatives) and Moon(career) are in the house

of losses. So, there seem to be some recurrent themes of problems

with

parnterships, disputes, and litigation with partners/spouse. The impact

of Mars, karaka for property, upon the 11th, 2nd, and 3rd could

indicate real estate development.

 

POSTIVES:

The close association of Mars and Venus with the MEP provides the

status, charisma, and easy gains especially from partnerships &

alliances with extra effort. The Moon's position, as 10th lord, in the

7th suggests that these gains are career related rather than from

spouse (you).

 

The strength and good placement of Jupiter shows strong morals,

generosity, and benevolence. Jupiter's aspect to the Moon gives

entrepreneurial initiatives with partners.

 

The Sun's placement as karaka for income in the 7th of partners is

good

and creates a connection between these two but the infancy of the

Sun

keeps the results to a minimum.

 

Overall, the chart is just OK. There are some serious problems he will

face in respect to business and litigation. The indications for him for

his spouse(potentially you) are poor also.

There are no close afflictions in the chart which is quite excellent.

 

Moon, Mars, and Saturn, howevcer, are weak by placement. 4th lord

Moon

in the 8th isn't good for the career. The 7th lord in the 12th isn't

good for the spouse. Saturn, the 5th lord, in the 12th isn't good for

the children or digestive system.

 

POSITIVES:

 

The placement of Jupiter in the 1st house close to the MEPs of the 1,

5th, 7th, and 9th as 3rd lord shows great ambition, intelligence,

seeking for a spouse, and good fortune from efforts and

entrepreneurial

initiatives. It also give great moral character. This is especially so

with the lagnesh Venus in close proximity to the 4th house MEP.

 

The placement and strength of the Sun connects income with

entrepreneurial initiatives.

 

The good placement of Mercury, unafflicting in the chart, insures good

comforts, staying with the spouse, and a comfortable and luxurious

home.

 

Overall, you have a very good chart. The close influence of Mars,

Jupiter, and Venus (all FBs) to the house MEPs is excellent. The lack

of any afflictions is excellent. By strengthening of Mars, Saturn, and

Moon (who are weak by placement) you would enjoy greater succes

in

matters related to spouse,children, and career, respectively.

 

I would recommend you pass on this alliance. His chart shows too

many

close afflictions for his life with you to be pleasant and peaceful.

The Mars/Venus combination in his chart gives the charisma you are

attracted to but you have to look at the whole package and there is a

lot of garbage there you'd do better to avoid.

 

For you both as Librans, propitiations to Mercury, Rahu, and Ketu

are

required.

The planetary relationship looks good except that Moon has 2-12

relation in both the horoscopes but then Mars and Venus are neutral

to each other who rules Aries and Taurus. So that factor can be

ignored. Rahu/Ketu in 6/8 should be fine as all other planetary

relations are good either 5-9 or 3-11.

If you look at the dosha table, it seems the groom has more dosha

than the bride. The important factor in the chart other than that is

Jupiter is aspecting the 7th house in both the cases and Mars and

Saturn are toghether. Also, the groom's age is more than 27, so its

good.

 

Conclusion: Looking at the current Dasa and other factors besides

iterated above I would say that the Match is Fair. So Marriage can be

done between these two.

 

 

 

Opinion 5:

 

Both you and your fiance were born under the same

nakshatra, but on different padas, which shows that

both of you are fairly compatible. You should request

someone to compute the kuta points for your marriage

compatibility (there is a website that offers free

compatibility analysis). If the points are 16 points

and above, your success in the marriage will be

increased.

 

As noted by others, you and your fiance have kujadosha

which is a good sign for compatibility. In my

opinion, the presence of kujadosha in both your charts

cancel out the negative effects of this yoga.

Dear MG:

 

I'm posting here after a long time. I totally agree with your

concerns, I'm having the same problems--one astrologer tells me one

thing and the next one tells me something else.

 

The biggest shortcoming I saw was that NO astrologer ever predicted

(as a baby from my birth chart) how my life turned out, but all of

these astrologers try and come of with some reason or the other to

astrologically justify the events that have ALREADY happened in my

life.--They are really good at coming up with theories to justify the

events AFTER THE FACT--and there too there is hardly any parallel

between their theories.

 

Well, this once more lead me to ask the question--can astrology

predict? Do the predictions come true. A well-known astrologer from

India just did a comprehensive prediction for me and time will only

tell if these predictions will come true. I'll let you know 35 years

from now when I'm a 70 year old man if the predictions came true.

I have had some incredible experiences with nodi-jyotish. For

example, before my marriage, they told me details about my future

wife that were so accurate and specific. The only thing I couldnt

verify was their reading of my past life. Guru PVRji checked it up

using vedic astrology and I was impressed with how astrology can show

past life details.

 

I do believe vedic astrology does show all important life factors of

a person. But free will may change things to a great extent. Moreover

when predicting, people dont know what to look for. If Vedic

astrology is indeed fully scientific, we should be able to have

software that can give predictions with dates/time period of when

events are likely to materialize, etc.

 

However, I have noticed that in most cases, the overall success or

lack of it or health problems of a person can be easily predicted

even by non expert astrologers. Marital problems are a different ball

game altogether and perhaps the most complex, even the formidable KN

Rao has accepted the inability to accurately predict the events when

two egos come together.

I think that the evidence does suggest that astrology

as a science is factual and true. The question is; Can

a fallible and illusory being such as man, properly
