royal planets and tapaswi yoga

I request our gurus to please clarify these doubts

1) regarding royal planets , I wat 2 ask what if these r func. Malefics,

in my horo. (virgo lagna) , mars is 8lord , su is 12 lord, ju is baadhakesh. I

have ju in lagna, su & mars in 9 house.

 

2) I was reading guru narsihma ji ‘s book ‘vedic astrology’

.. in that he has mentioned an example of tapaswi yoga. Ve+ ke asp. By plnet

from 8house. I have an example of this yoga where ve + ke r in 5 house in

libra with sun conjoined……. asp. By ret. Saturn in aquarius(if u consider the

retro aspect, it will b from 8 house ). Sat is very strong, acquires

simhaasanamsa in vargas , ve is also in parijat.

He has both the faces ….materiatic as well as spiritual. , from his life

style he seems to b very materialistic Very few people know about his spiritual

life.. I m very well aware of his devotion

But right now is his sun dasha, ….sat dasha comes very late in life…ve is

gone(was good from materialistic point of view)

..

Will this yoga fructify?

Jupiter is exalted.In 7th,saturn is exalted. The sun and the moon are in the 8th

house.From the sun sign, Jupiter is in the 9th house cancer, in

Dear Prashant,

 

Tapasvi yoga requires the association of the 3 following planets: saturn, venus

and ketu. (Please note all three share the karakatwa of the 12th house - the

house of tapa). In the example you mention, there is rasi drishti between the

said planets, and in trines, will sure form tapasvi yoga. Maybe elements of it

are already present in the person's nature, if not full fructification?

Dear Prashant,

 

Here is what I know as yet.

 

For Virgo lagna, mars is the worst malefic on account of owning 3rd and 8th

houses (one trik and other dusthana). Sun being the 12th lord gives results

depending on who he is associated with. Jupiter is not only the badhakesh, but

also suffers from kendradhipathi dosha. unless ofcourse Jupiter occupies saggi

or Pisces. Venus is the 1st rate benefic as he owns the 9th house. Mercury

being the lagna lord is benefic (if unafflcited and well placed). As mercury is

the lagna lord, there is no blemish vis-a-vis Kendradhipathi dosha. Saturn

primarily gives the result of 6th house (Aq) as his MT falls in Aq. Moon on

account of owning 11th house could be malefic, but depends on whether moon is

waxing or waning.

 

The results of the dasa periods of these planets will be in accordance to their

functional nature and also their naisargika karakatatwas.

 

Planets in kendra's are mutual co-workers. It;s like they support each

other..... the other way to put it is... "you scratch my back... I will yours"

 

Planets in trines mean that both planets (in trines) agree with each other philosophies.

 

Re. Tapaswi yoga, Sarbani already has answered it.

 

Am sure guru's and learned members here will comment/correct my understanding.
