Guest guest
EXCHANGE OF HOUSES BETWEEN JUPITER AND MARS The exchange between Jupiter and Mars will strenghten the karaga qualities of the planets and their houses. The ratianale behind this is goes to each other houses and will look after another. Furthermore, since Mars and Jupiter are natural friends and can be considered functional benefics as the the lords of trine (Mars being 9th lord and Jupiter being 5th lord), it is a `plus' point for the native. Both 5th and 9th houses are dharma houses. The native is probably full of life. He is filled with vigour and vitality. He proceed in every affair and behaviour with a strong purpose. Nevertheless, he has to be careful of Jupiter's effect since it is also 8th lord. MARS IS ASPECTING THE LAGNA LORD Mars aspecting Lagna Lord will accentuate the native's aggressiveness and give him the power to overcome his enemy. Personally speaking, even though Sun is the Lagna Lord, it may bring the downfall of the native and reduce his lifespan. (Please see Sun in the 8th House) MARS ASPECTING KETU Mars as Moksha lord (lord of 4th house) aspecting Ketu, a karaga for Moksha and the 12 house, another Moksha house, strengthened his inclination towards liberation. SEXUAL INDULGENCE >From another perspective, the 12th house can also represent bedroom pleasure. The native may experience plenty of sex. This native sexual propensity may be accentuated by his amorous life as Mars is in 5th and also his natural tendency towards sexual indulgence as his Lagna lord fall in 8th house which represents the genital organs. In addition of having a beautiful wife or gorgeous partners which is signified by Venus in 7th house, the temptation for sexual involvement is difficult to resist. SHIFT AWAY FROM SEXUAL INVOLVEMENT However, I believe that he may shift away from his sexual habit in Ketu Dasa Saturn Bukhti. During this period, he will spend more time and energy towards achieving `liberation'. Saturn is the `taskmaster'. He will curtail our pleasures and force us to learn some lessons which may have resulted from our karmic debts. Therefore, his influence compels us to seek some answer in life and endeavour in a pursuit of a higher calling. KETU DASA SATURN BUKHTI Why did I say it happen during Ketu Dasa Saturn Bukhti. My master taught me to look at the effect of Bukhti from the (1) the Dasa Lord, (2) the Chandra Lord, and (3) the Ascendant. Do you practice reading in this manner? Using this method, Saturn is the 10th from Dasa Lord, 11th from the Chandra Lord, and 9th from the Ascendant. The 10th, 11th and 9th are good houses for Saturn to be in. As a result, the transition may not engender much hardship to the native but I believe that he will definitely change his focus. Venus in the 7th house may not give him much pleasure later on because Prasara has mentioned that a natural benefics owning the a Kendra house becomes a functional malefic. Furthermore, according to Prasara again, Venus for Leo also owns an `evil' house (3rd house). VENUS AS MALEFIC TO LEO ASCENDANT If we look at Leo Ascendant in general, there are often amorous in their relationship with regal charm and charisma to attract the opposite sex. However, there are their own person and hate to be control by any other since there are Simha, the lion and lord of the jungle. They dislike taking orders or suggestions from another people. This explain the inimical relationship of Leo Ascendant and Venus, karaga for spouse. SPENDING ON `MARTIAN' ACTIVITIES Another reading for Mars aspecting in the 12th house is that the native will spend large sum of his money to pursue liberation. This is because 12th house is the house of expenditure and whichever planets are influencing the house will show how the money is being channelled base upon the karaga and lordship quality. MARS IS ASPECTING THE MOON AND SATURN What I know that Mars aspect the Sun, the Moon, and Ketu. I don't think Mars aspect Saturn. Therefore, it will not give a direct effect on Saturn nor Mars in which both are in Aries. It will only affect the portfolio of the 9th house. Consequently, it will indirectly affect the house quality and the `ambience' will either afflict or support the planets within. Moon is the karaga of a person' mental-emotional plane. Since Mars is aspecting Moon, I believe the native's mental make-up is often on the assertive edge and brazen in his approach. Also, as Moon is the karaga for mother and Mars is Bumikaran (karaga for landed property) as well as being the lord of 4th and 9th, the native's mother is bestowed with much wealth. QUESTION FIVE: INCLINATION TOWARDS MATERIALISM Not here is an interesting case. True, the native may seek moksha. However, in his chart, there is a high degree of materialism involve due to the incoming wealth from Jupiter in 4th house, Mars in 5th house, Venus is in 7th house and Moon is in 7th house. The effect of Moon may not be as potent as the other planets because it is the lord of 12th and has moved backward. Still being a natural benefic, it will give the native some favourable results. LIBERATION FROM OPPRESSION My opinion is that Moksha may mean liberation but may not necessary specify it as spiritual liberation. Base upon the information you gave me, I think Moksha to your friend means to be free from oppression. How do I come to such conclusion? GOVERNMENT AS ENEMY Sun is in 8th house. Since Sun is the Karaga for Government and being in the 8th house, your friend will see the Government as an enemy. He carries in himself negative sentiments against the present rules and established regulations. It may not be obvious to him because 8th house represents covert or hidden enemies. Only the 6th house signifies overt enemies. He may not realise his antagonism towards the Government. I think that is the reason for him to support the Tamil Tigers. BEING AN INFLUENTIONAL FIGURE I think he might become an influential figure or a political person fighting for change against the Government and to liberate his people according to his ideals. This is supported by his `fortune' to pervasively influence public because Saturn is the karaga for masses and 9th house is the house of fortune. USING INTELLECTUAL ABILITIES He would most probably use his intellectual abilities rather than his personal charisma (signify by Venus aspect on the Ascendant) to influence the masses. This is due to Mercury being together with Saturn in the 9th house. Therefore, I believe he has the abilities to `confused' people to his beliefs and ideals. PROBLEM WITH FOLLOWERS Unfortunately, he may have problems with his followers as Saturn is debilitated in Aries and also Saturn is the lord for the house of servants. His followers may not be so cooperative with him. Furthermore, having Rahu aggravates his situation. Rahu is the planet of sudden occurrence. His followers may desert or even betray him at the spur of the moment. OVERCOMING ENEMIES Fortunately, having Saturn aspecting its own house at 6th and Sun in the 8th, he may gain some salvation in overcoming his enemies. Now, you may wonder why Sun in the 8th can defeat his enemy? Sun is a powerful planet and it can burn its adversaries to dust (provided he is debilitated in Libra or afflicted by Rahu, Ketu, and Saturn). What happen if Sun, the Lagna lord is not in the 8th house? Then the native does not even have enemies to contend with? SUN IN 8TH HOUSE: SHORTER LIFEPSAN? Nevertheless, having Sun in the 8th house may shorten his life span. Remember Sun is karaga for vigour and is obstructed by 8th house's influence. Then again, it can be argued that since the Lagna lord is in the 8th, the native should enjoy long life but with only one downfall – his life will be plagued by chronic problems. These problems may not always be due to direct human influence because for this we should look at the 6th house. The native life can be disturbed by situational problems. Maybe you can give your opinion on this. MARS ASPECTING THE LAGNA LORD Fortunately, Mars is aspecting the Lagna Lord which is also the Sun. Since Mars is a functional benefic being the owner of 4th and 9th house, it strengthens the native assertiveness and aggressiveness to deal with difficult situations. I believe the native is not a person who will easily give up. Is this true about your friend? SHOULD NOT WORK FOR PEOPLE The native should not work for people as he will have conflict with his superiors. This is shown by the Lagna Lord in the 8th house. Sun is the karaga for leader and since your friend want to lead, he cannot accept directives from people and will be at loggerhead with his superiors. He should find a situation which gives him the opportunity to lead or to govern himself (like be an entrepreneur) without listening to other people's directives. WEAR GLASSES Does the native wear glasses? Or perhaps suffer from poor vision? The reason I asked because Ketu is 12th house which may affect his eyes. GURU-MANGAL YOGA I'm not familiar with this yoga. Perhaps other can enlighten me. Thank you for your chart. I find that I've learn a lot from applying my knowledge. vedic astrology, Hari Krishnan <hariks> wrote: > Hi John, > I agree with most of the thoughts presented by you. > Still I have some questions with u. > 1.
