1. How does one deduce the Yoga Karaka for a specific

Lagna?

 

2. What if such a Karaka is debilitated/badly placed

in the chart? Will it do good to the individual as it

is a Yoga karaka?

 

3. What if one of the Yoga Karaka is a Bhadka sthana

lord? What would be the inference?

 

3. What if one of the Yoga Karaka is placed in

Kendra?As a good planet loses some power in kendra..

Dear Mr.Anand,

Yogakaraka is a planet who owns a Kendra (Angle ) and a trikona (Trine ).So for

Vrishabha Lagna,Shani is the lord of 9th (Trikona ) and 10th (Kendra ) and so

he is the Yogakaraka for Vrishabha Lagna and so on you just go through other

Lagnas.Now if this Yoga Karaka is debilitaed in Rasi but placed in a friedly or

own or exalted navamsha,then during later years of the life the good effects of

this Yoga Karaka will be felt.But if in Navamsha also he is placed in a enemic

Navamsha or debilitated Navamsha,then the good results of this Yoga Karaka will

not be felt but only bad results will accrue during its Dasa/Antara dasa.

I don't think I was clear in my last message. I meant that I didn't

realize that there is at least one yoga karaka in every chart, in the

sense that one planet for each of the 12 lagnas rules both a kendra

and a kona (with the possible exception of Aries as you mentioned).

I understand that a chart may have many yogas in it.

In vedic astrology we comeacross lots of matter in qualitative manner not

quantitative. e.g. the length of dasas, natural strength of grahas, types of

aspects, and numbrer of functional benefic/malefic according to every lagna.

Gemini has only Venus as a single benefic graha, but Taurus has four functional

benefics, viz; Saturn, Mercury, Mars and Sun. What does it mean, is taurus lagna

natives have more opportunities than Gemini?

The quantitative way demands every lagna must have equal numbers of benefic,

malefic and neutral planets, with a single yoga karaka. But it is no valid in

reality. Therefore astrology is called an 'art' plus 'science', where results

are extracted from thorough analysis and findings wieghts not countings. In

reality, charts of many celebirities apparently average or having bad planetary

placement, if obserserved with quantitative manner, but actually they are not.
