Your venus is exalted in the 10th house. It should have brought you a great

deal of career success, especially with the conjunction of 9th ruler and

aspect of 10th ruler. However, the conjunction of saturn could cause issues

in relationships. And the retrogression of Jupiter could cause career issues

to show up. It muddies the waters and the area ruled by a retrograde planet

seems to take up a lot of attention. Was your unemployment voluntary by any

chance?

 

Another aspect is that venus is involved in a parivraja yoga. I dont quite

understand this yoga, but I think it leads to an overload of energies, until

it is too much and the person then tends to renounce it all. That is my way

of thinking about it.

 

I think the placement of lagna lord mercury in the 8th house may be causing

you problems. If the lagna is strong, it can handle troubles. I have been

told that the lagna is the foundation, and if the foundation is strong, even

with troubles, the person can handle it. It cant hurt to strengthen your

mercury. Once you do that, you may see more clearly where you want to be.

[vedic astrology] A little bit of encouragement needed...

 

 

Greetings from Helsinki!

 

Dear friends, although I have been studied Astrology since 1988, when I

got my first contact to Jyotish, I feel myself just an humble beginner.

Please forgive my deficiency in knowledge of this Art, which takes years

to master.

 

A long time ago I try to participate to Vedic astrology lists, but

somehow I just frustrated - main reasons were practical, but also a kind

of isolation or loneliness.

 

I have lived my Venus Dasa, which is now coming to an end. I have felt

this Dasa or at least the last seven years quite difficult, especially

connecting to problems of career and therefore to finances and the whole

settling in life - of course, my Venus is in 10th Rasihouse with Rahu

and Saturn.

 

I have vocational background in healthcare, but I realized quite soon,

that isn´t the right path for me. I have been years as unemployed and my

menage very low. During recent years I have had tried to improve my IT

and other office skills needed in modern work environment - but I just

don´t place to labour markets! I don´t find myself or may place in this

society, I only have dreams to devote my life to for example writing and

research...in astrology?

 

I am going to experience the Sun Dasa in coming 2003 - does it indicate

any better and improvement in this area?

 

This subject has really frustrated me, also in astrologically, because

as I mentioned I have been interested in astrology since me youth and

after -88 had my first contact to Jyotish and I started to "feel" that

astrology really have an something special role in my life. Recent years

I have had both the problems, but also an growing need to do something

about it - maybe to write a book or something, but maybe because of my

Revati/Pisces nature I have felt quite a low self-esteem, not only

because of all opposition, but the whole lifesituation I have

experienced (poverty, loneliness, opposition) these years.
