Muntha calculation

Dear Jyotishis,I'm reading"Vedic Astrology,an integrated approach"and

in pag.331 Guru Narasimha gives the calculation of Muntha.I'm Virgo

Lagna and for 37 years(my age)muntha is in Virgo.Meanwhile in

Jaganatha Lite software the calculation of Muntha shows Piscis

Lagna,Could you kindly explain which is the true Muntha for me?

My D.O.B:July,22,1965 10:15 A.M. São Paulo,SP-Brazil Long:46W30

JHLite 3.0 does NOT give muntha and gives only the real ascendant.

 

In your 2002-03 annual Tajika chart, Pisces rises and muntha is in Libra

(not Virgo). So the real ascendant is Pisces and the progressed ascendant is

Libra.

 

You finished 37 years in July 2002 and the 38th year started. So muntha is

found from 38. It is in the 2nd house.

 

Apart from muntha, the lagna (ascendant) of the annual chart also has a role

of its own. THAT is Pisces in your case for 2002-03.
