Guest guest
I've been trying to do searches on this subject as well on the internet. So far, I know that it lasts for 20 years and whomever is in this dasha will get married and become interest in having children and creating a pleasant home life. I personally haven't been experiencing much happiness lately which makes me wonder first of all if I'm really in a venus dasha. Could anyone enlighten me on this dasha. I figure since it lasts for twenty years, if I'm in this dasha I better find out as much as I can about it. Anything I might have missed on the net? 1-11-73 -- 5:25 AM -- Lakenheath, England Thank you for anything you can provide, Nyree

Guest guest
You are currently running Venus dasa and Sun antardasa. The reason for your situation could be due to the combination of 4 planets other than venus in the 2nd house. 2nd house is the house of family and the crowded planets could cause disturbances in family life.. also the Rahu in the 2nd house is not a good sign. I am pretty sure your Venus -Moon (starts 2003-09-18) would be much better than the Venus-Sun because Moon being your yogakaraka in the 5th house could bring more happiness thru children. Guest guest
Hi Nyree, > I've been trying to do searches on this subject as well on the > internet. Thumbrules don't always work. You have to make judgments on what kind of role Venus plays with respect to each of your houses. It is a non-trivial effort and you cannot make predictions by collecting thumbrules or standard results from the internet. You have to study this subject for a few years. (2) Why I am saying this to you is that I see tremendous potential in your chart to be a good astrologer. In fact, the period Jan 2003-Jan 2008 is when you will learn a lot of astrology. [Note to those who know Narayana dasa: Nyree runs Sg dasa then, as per the Narayana dasa of D-24, the chart of learning. Sg contains 2nd lord Venus (I am talking about D-24 chart of learning and not about rasi chart). The 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th houses show astrological knowledge. Venus owns 2nd and occupies the 4th house of studies in Sg. The 8th lord Mars and the 11th lord Moon aspect him from Ge. The significator of learning, Mercury, also aspects Sg from exaltation sign. Clearly, Nyree will learn a lot of astrology or other occult subjects in this 5-year dasa.] So try to learn this great subject systematically. You will become very good. (3) Even though Venus is the karaka (significator) for marriage and marital life and owns the 7th house of marriage in your rasi chart, he is in the 8th house from the 7th house (Libra). So he does not suggest excellent marriage. He suggests delays and problems related to marriage. Venus may do good related to vehicles, mother, education, health/mental state etc, but he is not too good for marriage in your case. (4) Though Venus is well-placed in the 2nd house from lagna, promising good conduct, resources etc, he is in the 12th house from arudha lagna (AL - it shows your identity in the material world) and shows a lot of expenditure and material losses. He will give money, but a lot of expenditure too. (5) As Venus is in a sign that rises with its back, the second half of the dasa will be better than the first half. I don't have time to write more, but do consider taking up this subject more seriously. You will do very well. You have the natural ability, instincts etc. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
