Guest guest Posted December 23, 2002 Report Share Posted December 23, 2002 I have some doubts regarding remedial measures .I wilud be grateful if someone can solve my doubts I have consulted many astrologers , ad one thing I got across was i have a weaK Buddh in shadabalas ,it is neecha.Also some said my shani is harmful and affecting even good planets. Different astrologers have recommended different measures - some say Vishnu sahasranam and others recommend Worship of lord hanuman. So I am a bit confused !! My question was what are the effects of these different remedies ..the difference between them , namely Vishnu sahasranam , Lalitha , hanuman chalisa etc.. If one is conversant with the Vedic nomepnclature, and the Deities assigned by Maharishis Parashara to the different planets, then he will be clear on the fact that propitiation of the Vishnu/avatara is always the most effective Upaya. Espaciallly since Lord Vishnu is the source of all Avataras, chanting Vishnu sahasranaama is a very good general remedi for doshas in the chart. However, a few things should be born in mind: 1. You should receive permission form a Guru in parampara for chanting this mantra. 2. You hsould chant it on a regular basis all your life, not only as Upaya. The ultimate goal is to develop devotion towards the Lord. 3. You should observe the rules of sattvic lifestyle as I have explained in my earlier emails. I have been practising the Vishnu sahasranam on my own without any guru -just an inward pull.
