Guest guest Posted December 23, 2002 Report Share Posted December 23, 2002 dear ramadas rao and other respected listmembers, can you please tell me what are the effects and causes of wearing red coral? it is worn for mars I know. is it to strengthen a weak mars? or can an already strong mars be weakened by wearing it? what are the reasons for wearing it and what are the drawbacks. can it be worn in chains or settings other than gold? also, does it have to be worn only on the finger or can it be worn around the neck or around the waist or arms? thanks in advance. nisha. This red coral is also called in sanskrit as Pravala,Vidruma,Lathamani,Angarakamani,and Rakthanga.Here also we have 4 types ..1st one is Brahmana type whose colour is red like rabit's blood and is smooth to touch,2nd one is Kshatriya type whose colour is red like Sindhura (Kumkum),3rd one is Vaishya type whose colour is slightly yellowish red or pinkish red and is little harded than the other 2.,The last one is Shudra type whose colour is red like red lotus and is very hard to make hole in this. If the red coral is a real one ,then after wearinf if any disease comes it changes its colour.This red coral is good to improve courage,defeat of enemies,for ladies it enhances the Mangalya and for newly wedded bride,it brings luck.Also when we wear this coral ,bad dreams will not fall and it increases health and vitality. I have a query,which you may find ridiculous.You advise wearing Coral in Gols or Silver.I thought silver is a metal ruled by Moon and according to some by Venus.Sages advised wearing (Dharana)Gems,Metals, Clothes of auspicious planets.At least this is what I understood from my readings.Now if Moon or Venus is inauspicious, would wearing Coral to get blessings of an auspicious Mars not bring inauspicious ness of Moon or Venus if worn i Silver.If my query apears foolish, I am certain you will pardon me as I am only a student of astrology. What could be the reason for adverse effect of moonga? Even though Mars happens to be yoga karka being 4th and 9th lord but the 9th lord for Leo is a Bhadhka also,Red coral may not be the right Gem for Leo lagna at all. In this case Mars in Virgo affects the ovaries and the periods were further affected and also it affected the backbone in the small of the back area.I do not know if this logic is correct.
