Guest guest
Om Sreem Suragurave Brihaspataye Namah Dear Satya, > Interested in philosophy and religion- > > Yes philosophy is my soul, my love, my strength. > > Singing- This point is very interesting. Some years back when I learnt Jaimini basics, I wondered if this could be not applicable to me. > > But over the years my interests did pull me to musicology too. I not only won a few prizes for singing (that too classical!), last year I ended up composing (!) three albums, two related to the planets and elements and one for hindi pop. All this was done on a commercial basis! And this is not my main line or field! And some music scholars who heard the pre-release albums on the grahas and elements rated the work very highly. This work was based on classical music (mostly pure ragas without any accidental notes except for the nodes which was done deliberately), but the choice of instrumentation and style of rendering is more modern and like fusion. They are all to be released this year. > > It is hard for me to be restricted to any single school of Indian philosophy. Those who read my articles may only recognise the affiliation to Advaita. But deep within mine is a mix of Samkhya and Advaita (or rather the Samkhya version of Advaita) , with streaks of what can be called Deconstructive logic (but I used such tactics in my own way even before I ever read Derrida, probably under the influence of Buddhism or JK). <<<<From here, Narasimha's comment's start>>>> Let me make a comment on the spiritual path that appeals to one. Look at vimsamsa as that relates to spiritual matters. Navamsa only shows dharma and basic abilities etc. One's spiritual path is seen from D-20. In my D-20, the 4th house of comfort from AK Moon is occupied by Jupiter (alone). In Pt. Sanjay Rath's D-20, 4th from AK Saturn is empty and owned by Jupiter. Only Jupiter's path (vedanta) gives comfort to my soul and his. Other paths are not for us. You can note the same thing in Swami Aurobindo's chart, for example. He has AK Mercury in Pisces and Gemini has Jupiter (all in D-20). Swami Jayendra Saraswati had AK Jupiter in Taurus in D-20 and 4th from there was empty. Its lord Sun joined Jupiter. Again the traditional path of vedanta is the spiritual path that appeals to him. Take the great Swami Narasimha Bharati. His AK Saturn is in Pisces and Gemini has only Jupiter. Again, Jupiter shows the spiritual path (Vedanta) that gives happiness to his soul. As a different example, take the great Swami Sivananda. His AK Moon was in Cancer in D-20 and exalted Saturn was alone in 4th from him. Naturally, his spiritual path was guided by Patanjali's Yoga Sastra. He was into Yoga, Kundalini awakening etc. To find the right spiritual path that makes your soul happy, look at your own chart. In your D-20, 4th from AK Jupiter (Libra) is empty. Lord Venus is exalted and joins Mercury. Normally, the spiritual path should be shown by Venus. However, debilitated Mercury dominates over exalted Venus (it is after all D-20). While Venus gives predisposition towards Vaiseshika school of spirituality, Mercury shows purva mimamsa. That is why you will have an inclination to understand everything but not make the final judgment. It is the Mercurian nature. Mercury is good at understanding everything, analyzing everything and discussing them, but cannot make up mind easily. Now that the drigdasa of a Venusian sign started, it will make Venus dominate over Mercury. You WILL find a spiritual direction in the next 8 years and it will either by Venusian (Vaiseshika school) or Saturnine (Yoga). As per Drigdasa, you started Taurus drigdasa containing A8 and Saturn recently. Belated happy birthday, by the way! You are running Libra AK kendradi rasi dasa. You ran Cancer drigdasa until Jan 1. Though Cancer contains Ketu, it has no aspect on lagna, AL or even progressed AK (as per AK kendradi rasi dasa). Thus the last two years may have given you a lot of spiritual thoughts, but the final spark would be lacking. Now, your drigdasa (progressed light of god) just moved to Taurus. Taurus has an aspect on Libra (stationing the progressed soul). Your soul will start to receive direction now. Especially, 2005-2009 will stand out as a period in which your soul receives its direction. In the coming 8 years, I believe Saturn in A8 will slowly take you towards Yoga. Saturn too is in 5th in your navamsa. A8 with Saturn in it and aspected by Venus and Ketu shows tamasik sadhana and special mystic experiences. You will get seriously into Yoga Sastra, have some tamasik (does not mean bad) sadhana and have some mystic experiences in 2003-2011. Regarding Dwaita, Adwaita, Visishtadwaita, Sankhya, Yoga, Vedanta etc confusion also, you will find your path in this period. All the paths are valid. But one has to find a path and follow it. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
