If it had all the deleterious effects attributed to it, by now the majority of the human race would be in a pretty bad way. Stop worrying about it. From the stories I have heard from a lot of my male friends, especially from societies where sex is represented as forbidden/dangerous/fascinating, you have had a fairly standard experience. As you get older, sex will probably not be such a compelling area of your life. From what I understand, most men in their late teens and early 20s are subject to a flood of new hormones and do a lot of stupid things they grow out of later. It's good that you had the sense to take sensible precautions. Congratulations. Obsession with sex is bad but so is the same obsession with its supposed evil effects. Forget it and get on with your life.
