It would be much easier if there is an example, if possible. Also, is there any

specific reason that D-16 should be taken instead of Navamsa (generaly accepted

as chart regarding spouse) ?

Thanks.

Re: [vedic astrology] good cook

Dear Denis,

Let me take a pot shot (pun incidental :)) at this.

I guess you should look at the 4th from lagna in D-16 and look for some kind of

a connection with that house of Jupiter (karaka for good food), Venus (karaka

for the fine things in life) and the UL (since you're looking for partner's

influence). Why the 4th house and not the 2nd house? Because though the 2nd

stands for nourishment, it could be wholesome but not gourmet fare. The 4th

house, though, is the natural connoisseur house.

Warm regards,

Dear Denis,

D-16 has to do with pleasure among other things so that would be a good place to

look. Plus the Navamsa deals with a great deal more than just our spouse.

Cheers.........Phyllis

Hare Rama Krishna

Dear Denis,

I dunno what the others are looking for, but Mars is the karaka for cooking, and

a strong Mars in trines to the 7th house in Navamsa will ensure that your Wife

is very able in dealing with fire. Also check the same from Upapada and the 7th

lord.

Please correct me if I am wrong but if I remember correctly, healthy food is

connected with Moon and Cancer. Jupiter likes sweets.

Ketu is inimical to food.

If you are talking about food as an art form (chef) perhaps Venus should be

involved.

Love,

Gili
