Guest guest
Om Sreem Suragurave Brihaspataye Namah Dear Sarajit, Namaste! Going back to the Colombia disaster, another point that struck to me is that Apamrityu sahama (apamrityu=bad death, sahama=significant point of the zodiac) should have a role. I checked and sure it did. Here apamrityu sahama is at 5Aq53, in the karya sthana (12th house). When I checked if there were any planets with a close aspect on it, Mars had an exact 4th aspect on it from 5Sc46. Thus, Mars (2nd lord, maraka and Rudra) has an aspect on apamrityu sahama within 7 arc-min. Now, let me leave this disaster and talk about the role of Trisphuta and Kalachakra in muhurtas. Kalachakra, BTW, literally means the wheel of time. > Jaya Jagannath> Dear Narasimha,> > Thanks for this wonderful mail. For me, this has more things to learn than> just reading the analysis portion. Thanks for the insight on use of> Kalachakra for muhurtha purpose. I summerise them as> 1. The four sphutas Mrtyu, Prana, Deha and Trisphuta are the damgeous points> their affliction to the lagna is not welcome. Lagna or even Moon. If these evil sphutas occupy the sign of lagna or Moon, it is inauspicious. Out of all of them, Trisphuta is the most evil one. More than the affliction of lagna or Moon by Trisphuta, what is more dangerous is the conjunction of Tripshuta with Gulika/Mandi in the same sign. Avoid that in a muhurta at all costs. Read the 6th chapter in Prasna Marga for more on Trisphuta. For example, Prasna Marga talks about the last navamsa of Canver, last navamsa of Scorpio and last navamsa of Pisces (basically Jala Gandantas) to be the most evil placements for Trisphuta. It predicts death in about a year, month and day for Trisphuta's placement in Asresha 4th quarter, Jyeshtha 4th quarter and Revati 4th quarter (respectively). Here, Trisphuta is in the 4th quarter of Revati! It is the most evil placement for the evil point Trisphuta and shows very quick death. It's a very bad muhurta from the perspective of Trisphuta. [Note: Even though Prasna Marga mentioned Trisphuta, Kalachakra, Yogini's movement etc from the point of view of Prasna and Muhurta, Sanjay ji told me that they apply to annual Tithi Pravesha charts also. We can do some research on Tithi Pravesha using them.] > 2. The Sun is the reference point. Here, you have fixed Sun to the Eastern> side and judged result based on their placement in the direction ruled by a> particular deity, in this case, which happens to be Yama. What results could Read stanza 85 of chapter 16 in Prasna Marga to know how to cast Kalachakra for a given chart. The translation may be confusing, but the Sanskrit verse is quite clear. > we have judged, if lets say, the sphutas afflicting the lagna were in> Isana's direction. Could there be some kind of positive results after> initial setback. Well, Trisphuta is an evil point. Wherever it is, it will give setbacks related to that direction. Let me give an example. I started writing my book "Vedic Astrology: An Integrated Approach" at the following muhurta: May 13, 1997Time: 12:01:30 pmTime Zone: 4:00:00 (West of GMT)Place: 71 W 08' 00", 42 N 40' 00" In this chart, lagna is at 28Cn01 and Moon is at 20Cn29. Unfortunately, Trisphuta is at 24Cn39. Clearly, Trisphuta's affliction of lagna and Moon is quite undesirable and a big setback for the muhurta (despite other strengths). I am enclosing the Kalachakra of this chart in kc_book.gif file (and I am enclosing the Kalachakra of Colombia launch in kc_colom.gif). You can see from it that Trisphuta is on the southeastern corner of Kalachakra. This direction is ruled by Agni and shows prosperity. Agni (fire god) is the agent of all "activity" and thus rules prosperity. Trisphuta's affliction of this direction means that the fire needed for finishing the work will be lacking and the book-writing activity will progress very slowly. Indeed, in the first 2 years and 11 months from the time I started this book, I wrote only 10 pages. Then came a sixty-day period in which the remaining 420 pages were written by God's grace and luckily the book was well-received! It all ended well finally, but the extremely slow progress for almost 3 years was partly due to Trisphuta's affliction of lagna and Moon in the southeastern corner of Kalachakra. > 3. The Sphutas which are causing affliction to the chart, if placed in bad> tara as rekoned from Moon, the evil is increased. Yes, Prasna Marga talks about the standard nava taras. The extension to include the other special taras (such as Vainasika nakshatra - star of destruction) is mine. It makes sense intuitively. > 4. The mrtyubaga point was an eye opener. I was trying to find such> afflictions to the 12th lord as 12th is the Karya Bhava. Hence, even though> in my own mail, I said, the 12th bhava was the house to show space travel, I> couldn't find affliction to the lord, but only the Karaka. Now I see how it> was afflicted. This is infact brilliant. Thank you. I was sure Saturn or Rahu had to be in marana karaka sthana or in mrityu bhaga. Though Rahu is in marana karaka sthana in navamsa (chart showing the luck that various planets bring), I did not think that was sufficient. So I checked mrityu bhagas. Thanks to computers, these things take seconds to check. > I shall like to add one more point. In trimsamsa, the planets who are> placed in the Saturnine and Martian signs or afflited by Saturn, Mars or> Rahu, causes disorder related to the Tattva. Here we see, in addition to> what you say, affliction of Jupiter's sign by placement of the nodes in> pisces, Jupiter is placed in Capricorn, aspected by Saturn from a Martian> sign. Venus is similarly afflicted by the nodes and Mars even if it is in> exaltation. There would be problem in the Jala Tattva too. It is possible> that there could be problem in the fuel system in the engine, which could> not maintain aerodynamic balance in the air and disintegrated due to the> excessive temparature (Jupiter's affliction). Very good point. > Thanks again for the mail> > Warm Regards> Sarajit I will give more examples of Trisphuta's role in muhurta. A great astrologer had an organization outside USA and wanted to start the USA branch of his organization and entrusted the work upon a student who was in USA temporarily. That gentleman approached a lawyer for registering the organization in USA, at the following muhurta: December 22, 1999Time: 9:35:00Time Zone: 8:00:00 (West of GMT)Place: 118 W 15' 00", 34 N 03' 00" In the muhurta chart, Trisphuta is at 22Aq48. Note that Gulika and Mandi also occupy Aq. Especially, Mandi is at 22Aq56 and afflicts the evil point of Trisphuta within 8 arc-min. This terrible affliction does not denote success in the registration etc. The nakshatra occupied by Trisphuta, Poorvabhadra, is on the southern corner of Kalachakra ruled by Yama, god of death (see enclosed kc_reg.gif). This shows that the activity started at this time will face death and will not lead to the desired result. Indeed, the registration took a long time and finally the person who registered the organization fell apart with his guru in an ugly spat and the organization he registered is basically not functional. Moreover, look at badhaka lords (Mars and Ketu) afflicting lagna. Badhaka lords show obstructions that don't have a perceptible reason. They are in the southeastern corner ruled by Agni and show delay and slow progress. For no clear reason, the registration takes a long time. That was indeed the case. Lagna lord Saturn is in the southwestern direction governed by Nirriti, who shows the curses of gods. The muhurta and the main doer of the muhurta are shown by the lagna lord of the muhurta. Saturn's placement in Nirriti's direction in the Kalachakra of the muhurta shows some curses of gods coming in the way of this project or in the way of the native. Indeed, he fell appart from his guru after an ugly spat and accused his guru publicly, thereby incurring the wrath of gods (presumably). On the other hand, if lagna lord was placed in the northeastern direction of Kalachakra, the native would've done everything successfully and received the blessings of gods. Now, let us look at the muhurta at which the main parent organization of his guru was registered outside USA: September 10, 1998Time: 9:35:00Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of GMT)Place: 77 E 12' 00", 28 N 36' 00" Delhi, India In this chart, Trisphuta is at 10Pi30. It causes no affliction to lagna or Moon, nor is it afflicted by Gulika or Mandi. So Trisphuta-wise, this muhurta is fine. However, I said that Trisphuta is an evil point and causes problems related to the direction it occupies. It is in Uttarabhadra. In the kalachakra (see kc_org.gif), Uttarabhadra is in the western direction ruled by Varuna. One thing shown by Varuna is foreign things. Trisphuta's affliction to Varuna's direction can show some problems for this organization related to foreign things. Indeed, the efforts to get a USA branch registered led to so much turmoil and chaos. In the above chart, lagna lord Saturn was in the direction of demon-god Nirriti. Contrast it with this chart. Here, lagna lord Venus, 9th lord Mercury and 5th lord Rahu are all together in Makha constellation, in the northeastern corner of Kalachakra (see kc_org.gif). This direction is ruled by Eesaana and shows the blessings of gods. So the blessings of gods come to this organization, its gurus/protectors and its students/followers (lagna lord, 9th lord and 5th lord). When you are doing something dharmik or religious or traditional, try to keep the lagna lord and the main karyesha on the northeastern spoke of Kalachakra. If you want power, try to keep them on the eastern spoke. And so on. As pointed out, lords of 1st, 5th and 9th are well-placed in the northeast here, but look at the 10th lord. Moon is in the northwestern direction ruled by Vayu, which shows wandering and lack of direction. This factor leads to some loss of focus and confusion in the activities of this organization. Kalachakra outlined in Prasna Marga is a very powerful tool in seeing the quality of time. It is useful in prasna charts, muhurta charts and even annual TP charts. I am still a beginner in this area, but I have seen ample examples of its power. Regarding your other email, exalted Jupiter in retrogression in Pi, Aq, Sg, Sc navamsas is bad. He is equivalent to debilitated Jupiter. But Sanjay said that exalted Jupiter in retrogression in Cp navamsa is equivalent to an exalted Jupiter and hence strong.
