Guest guest
Dear friends, As per sloka 48 of Adhyaya II in JATAKA PARIJATA, 48. In the case of movable, immovable and dual signs, planets occupying respectively the 11th, 9th and the 7th houses from them or their lords will prove exceedingly troublesome planets if they happen to own at the same time the houses occupied by the lord of Khara or Mandi. >From above,do we understand that lord of 11th, 9th and the 7th houses should only be treated as badhaka if the lord of the said house simultaneously be the lord of the house tenanted by Mandi (Gulika) or Karesha i.e. the lord of 22nd drekkana from the lagna. Further to the above Mandi and Gulika are good in 3,6,10,11th house.By this logic Movable Lagnas will not be much affected by Bhadhkas even if Gulika/Mandi are also in 11th house. Any comments on above. With regards, Jagmeet
Guest guest
Dear Jagmeet ji, In my chart,Lagna is Makara and so 11th lord Kuja is a bhadhaka but he is placed in 10th with digbala and 11th house is occupied by Mandi and Gulika.Kuja being in 10th house has given me a good job in Petroleum refinery working as process controller. So I think the verses given by JP may be correct. I hope this helps and others can discuss on this. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannath Dear Jagmeet, >From Jaimini Sutras, prasna marga and other classics we gather that the Badhaka by themselves are able to give enough troubles. Now if they happen to become dispositor of Gulika or Kharesha, then the evil will increase multifold. Thats why the term "exceedingly troublesome" is more appropriate. Badhakas when placed in the 5th house, how restless it makes person, who loses his inner harmony. This is a small illustration to show how that badhaka works even if it is not the dispositor of Gulika or Kharesha.
