Though most people divide rasi into 150 equal parts and take each part as a nadi, there is another approach.Take the 16 vargas (divisions) taught by Parasara and mark their boundaries within rasi (e.g. hora at 15 deg, drekkana at 10 deg and 20 deg, D-4 at 7.5 deg, 15 deg, 22.5 deg and so on). This is not possible if one uses the uniform division. (Why not ;-)?) One more reason to favor the non-uniform division. regards, Krishna.
