Guest guest
Hello PVR: Long time no chat. Thank you for the comprehensive answer and correcting the mantra I was chanting. Guru represented by the higher form of trinity makes sense as Jupiter is best benefic palnet amongst all planets. Reading books by you and Rath and Wilhelm, I've learned that Jupiter is non inimical to any of the other planets, I guess this may be because Jupiter is a Brahmin; however, Venus is a great benefic and also a Brahmin, but Venus is highly inimical to Jupiter and Sun. Why doesn't Venus behave like a Brahmin and just do good like Jupiter rather then have an evil side as well. Mukund vedic astrology, "Narasimha P.V.R. Just as words ending with "a" (e.g. Rama, Krishna, Naaarayana, Shiva) are suffixed with "aaya" when we go to the 6th vibhakti form (e.g. Raamaaya, Krishnaaya, Naaraayanaaya, Shivaaya), the words ending with "i" get "aye" at the end (e.g. Hari and Brihaspati become Haraye and Brihaspataye). Similarly, words ending with "u" get "ave" at the end when you go to the 6th vibhakti form. For example, "guru" and "Bhaanu" become "gurave" and "Bhaanave". > > Of course, there are many other forms of words, but the above 3 are basic masculine forms. If you know that, you will realize that "Brihaspataaya" is wrong and it should be "Brihaspataye". > > As for other deities representing Jupiter, normally Shiva is taken. If you see Parasara's verses in the section on Karakamsa, you will see that Shiva is attributed to Jupiter. However, one has to note that Jupiter represents the all-pervasive aakaasa tattva (ether nature). Thus the form of Shiva represented by Jupiter is Sada Shiva. Similarly, Vishnu is shown by Mercury, but the all-pervasive and formless Narayana or Jagannatha are shown rather by Jupiter. The specific form of Vishnu is shown by Mercury. In other words, the Sustainer (Vishnu) is shown by Mercury and the Destroyer (Shiva) is shown by Sun, while Jupiter shows Narayana or Sada Shiva, who is a formless higher/unified expression of the Trinity. > > May Jupiter's light shine on us, > Narasimha > > > > Dear Mukund, > > > This is a Jupiter-Graha mantra, and should be avoided in daily practice. > > > Instead follow Gauranga's advise, or worship Brhaspati with the mantra: "Om Namo Bhagavate Brhaspataaya". > > > Best wishes > > > Visti > > > > Dear Members: > > > > Currenly Jupiter is transiting my 12th house and from August 2003 > > onwards will transit the 1st house, both these transits are > > unfavorable. Guest guest
Dear Mukund, If you view Jupiter and Venus as two benefics one kind of relationship will come to mind. But if you view Jupiter as the Suraguru and Venus as the Asura-guru a different kind of relationship will come into light. Also Jupiter is a satwa guna planet while Venus is a raja guna planet, hence there will always be an internal tussle between the two. Venus in its rajasik form desires everything that the satwik Jupiter rejects.
