Guest guest Posted March 30, 2003 Report Share Posted March 30, 2003 Dear all, With regard to this question, it appears I was premature in posting my results regarding the effects of this transit. On the 29th of March, when saturn was exactly over my natal mars for the third time in recent months, my uncle in Sri Lanka died very suddenly of a heart attack. Mars is my 6th ruler (3rd from 4th) and my uncle was next in line from my mother. Saturn also aspected the 6th house from the 12th. The forward and backward motion of saturn over AK mars appears to be like underlining, with the worst effect taking place when the final forward motion takes place. Transit mars was also in Naidhana tara on the day. My uncle was retarded at birth. He used to walk me to kindergarden school when I was 4-5. We were very close. In some important ways, he contributed to the formation of my best values, simply be being who he was. I am a person who over values the intellect - mercury in the 1st in own sign. Because of him, I learnt young to want to protect the weak, to care about the underdog, to value a person for their niceness rather than just for their cleverness or success. Last year I went back to Sri Lanka and saw him after 20 years (the civil war kept me away) and was surprised at the intense fondness I still felt. I had forgotten. I decided then that we should make a point of going back every year for a visit. Now I am just sorry for the missed years. Looking further ahead, the 13th of April that is coming up should be significant when saturn transits over ascendant, L1/L4 mercury in Gemini. This will be the third transit of saturn over this point. Transit mercury will also be in Naidhana tara on the day. I will post information re this after the date. It would probably involve my health or that of my mother. Hopefully, as saturn is a friend to mercury, it wont be as traumatic. Fortunately, my mother is running a good dasa - that of the 9th ruler which is placed in the 5th in exchange with the 5th ruler. I was about to accept a new job in the UK on saturday. Now I wonder whether I should return to Australia where my mother lives. This Saturday makes me rethink everything. In the process, it will transit through my ascendant ruler mercury in lagna 1st degree, and then over AK mars in last degree of taurus. The most interesting part is that I will also be running Saturn/Mars Vimshottri dasa. I also notice that Rahu will transit over natal Jupiter and Jupiter itself will be neecha in navamsa though uchcha in rasi. Both Jupiter and Saturn will be retrograde at that time. Any speculations? I will post the results if any in Jan/Feb here. When Saturns Moola Dasa started one would expect a grand raja yoga to have come in the form of grand kingdom, lots of vahana, etc, yet instead he was exhiled from his home!! Ramakrishna Paramahamsa had Saturn exalted in the 9th house, yet again retrogade, and instead of confering the many riches and raja yogas from elders, this led to his renunciation (Lagna lord shows own actions). Hence the retrogade of such a malefic like Saturn will confer the exact opposite results. As for Hamsa Yoga, this is another Mahapurusha Yoga, and incase of us simple humans, only 1 Mahapurusha Yoga will actually manifest to its fullest. If Saturn denies his own, then Jupiter will surely confer his own. The aspect of Saturn could mean quite a few things, i.e. during Saturn Dasa the native will be very frustrated through his/her desire to attain the Mahapurusha Yoga of Jupiter, only to be limited by his/her own potential. If other malefics have Graha dristi on Jup then we maybe looking at a curse of a Brahmin... Many possibilities. However, saturn is retrograde. How would you expect this to manifest? There are no debilitations in navamsa. On another note, would not the aspect of exalted saturn on exalted jupiter in cancer also affect the Hamsa yoga?
