What is Karaka Lagna in Jaimini Sutras?

Dear Members:

 

In this translation of Jaimini Sutras

http://water.fce.vutbr.cz/~pepa/jaimini/jaimini.htm, SU. 38 states:

 

If Lagna and Karaka Lagna have the aspect

of the lord of the 4th, the person will be happy.

 

Now what exactly is this Karaka Lagna? I have never come across this

term before and so am confused whether Karaka Lagna is the house

occupied by AtmaKaraka in Navamasha (Karakamsa in other words) OR is

it the house occupied by AtmaKaraka in the lagna?

Karaka Lagna here would be "Karaka Rasi" being the natural 4th house of the

zodiac.

I am not sure now, Karaka Lagna could also mean the house occupied by the

naisargika karaka

This principles should be applied treating Atmakaraka as Lagna, and also treat

Udaya (rising) Lagna as Lagna.

 

Generally when the mother decides to shine her happiness on us, we too become very happy.
