Guest guest
Dear List, Like so many who have attempted to desist from commenting on a sensitive topic but only to give way, allow me the privilege to say the following: Let us not forget that the world is composed of numerous non-Hindus, who do not worship either Shiva, Krishna or Kali or that there are more people in the world who take to the Koran and the Bible, rather than the Gita or Srimad Bhagavadam Does that mean that salvation or Moksha is unattainable to the rest of the world since they worship "lesser gods". For that matter, what "accident" caused them to be born in a society, which allows a greater probability to be Christians, Buddhists or Muslims? Those who purport to follow " exclusive paths" must surely feel fortunate to be among the chosen few, but perhaps they should ask their Supreme Godhead as to what happens to their Mandarin or Arabic-speaking brothers when they die or is the Supreme Godhead not just not an equal salvation opportunity creator? As for scriptures, none of them are infallible for how can that be if they are apparent contradictions. God has to be experienced and not read about so said the great Ramakrishna Paramahansa. Incidentally, here was an illiterate Kali worshipper who went on to experience bhava as Ramalala( child Rama), as Hanuman, climbing trees and eating nuts and so forth, as Gopala( child Krishna) and finally mahabhava as Radha pining for Krishna. The Paramahansa later uttered "God is with form and formless at the same time" He will answer any who calls Him with devotion." Guest guest
Dear friends, A Sardar Ji joke: A Sardar Ji was enjoying the Republic Day Parade. Guy next to him said,"Why are you so happy?" He said its my country's Republic Day. The Guy said,"The Indian flag has three colors, red for the Hindus, white for the Buddhist and green for Muslims, but there is nothing for the sardars."The Sardar Ji said,"You dodo, to whom do you think this flagpole belong to." Like the sardar ji don't look at the flag but look for what holds the flag up. So friends, pray to your Waheguru/Shiva/Allah/God/ Krishna(Sorry for putting Sri Krishna in the end) and not prey on Sri Krishna/Siva/Allah/God/Waheguru for ego gratification. With regards, Jagmeet
Guest guest
I stand by these words. The era of patricarchal violence is outworn and disgraceful in the 21st century. Let those who claim to support the Sanatana Dharma not manifest as little more than woman-fearing, woman-hating members of the Taliban in Hindu drag. And any woman studying with or under the sway of the subtle or not-so-subtle woman-bashers should perhaps reconsider what she is endorsing. May we not support systems and sophistic pronouncements that deny us our birthright of spiritual wholeness. Sincerely, J.I. Guest guest
Dear Ajith, LEAVE ALL TO HIM! Let his will be carried out! That should be your attitude! Do not think that only those who worship a picture or image with pomp & show are Devotees! Whoever walks straight along the MORAL PATH whoever acts as he speaks and speaks as he thinks. Whoever melts at another's woe & exculs at another's joy. IS a Devotee! Perhaps A Greater Devotes Of GOD! Guest guest
Dear Vissie, I thank you for your comment, thought I think you have misunderstood the context upon which it was said. My comments were made in response to some who believed in a one and only way to God , which effectively would have excluded billions from his Grace. That is something, which I have trouble reconciling with my concept of a equable and loving God. To question the validity of a dogma, in my opinion is not equivalent to being faithless towards God. I believe that God is impartial to all, but he is reflected best in the hearts of the devout and the pure and in that sense, I am in total agreement with you. God Bless Ajith. P.S: please forgive me if I have offended any with my comments Vissie Moodley <VMoodley (AT) osborn (DOT) co.za> wrote: Dear Ajith, LEAVE ALL TO HIM!Let his will be carried out!
